I decided to not load .38 Spl +P, .38/44 or .357 Mag loads in .38 Spl casings because I don't want someone inheriting my .38 Spl and .357 Mag handguns and using my hot .38 Spl handloads in my .38 Spl handguns.
I have no doubt that good .38 Spl casings will handle hot handloads fired in a .357...
The opening poster is looking for a modified choke pattern from a full choke barrel.
My next project: take my 1940s overly full choke Savage 12ga and see how minishells pattern relative to 2 3/4" shells.
Same incident? Or another car hold up St Louis?

The 4473 has space for four guns, one form, one BG check.
Under federal rules a whole collection can be transfered to an individual buyer on one 4473 with an attached list of make model serial number of each gun.
Oldest firearm I own that I have fired is a late 1890s British .455 Webley Mark IV, Boer War era, proofmarked crown over VR and crown over VR over 2P, black powder. The cylinder was cut for .45 AutoRim (probably by the importer).
I closely replicated the .455 Webley load with BP and .454"...
I am still strictly amateur here after 55 years of practice. Mostly I load what I can't buy or I can't find cheap enough for practice ammo.
I use a full set of red Lee cubic inch and a full set of yellow Lee cubic centimeter dipper measures , with the "slide rules" for finding grain equivalent...
FFL purchase is $10 for state instant check (local wants, warrants, orders) which then includes federal NICS check.
Last rime I checked, the private background check for person-to-person gun sales was $39 and still had to go through a FFL.
I lived about 10 years in the first floor apartment of a home that had been converted into an upstairs and downstairs apartment with a third apartment over the separate garage.
On match day I had a large rectangular airline luggage-style gun case that resembled a hard shell musical instrument...
Belle Twin did kill a record size brown bear with a .22 rimfire 10 May 1957. I've heard and read that story repeated since the early 1960s it seems.
Did anyone ask Belle Twin what she would have chosen if she knew she was going to meet a brown bear?
About a century ago, single shot pistols with 12 or 14 inch barrels were popular with trappers and, while they were handguns, they were treated differently from concealable handguns by Tennessee law on "going armed".
After market extended magazines for a lot guns are frequently unreliable.
Original manufacturer extended magazines are more often designed to work reliably.
You still have to test the magazines before betting your life on them.
I have an after market extended magazine for a Ruger LC9s that...
Personally I might consider a revolver in .45 Colt with CCI shotshells in .45 Colt over a Governor or Judge for a snake gun. I load my .38 for woods walking with first round in line a shotshell the rest JHP +P. I've had to kill only two snakes in my lifetime, so a dedicated .45/.410 snake gun is...
The Shockwave type shotguns fit a very niche definition of what constitutes a factory "firearm" under Title I GCA that is not a AOW or SBS under Title II NFA.
1930s US commercial .30 Mauser pistol ammo was deliberately downloaded to be kind to war trophy C96 pistols in unknown condition so any European military or commercial 7.62x25mm is going to be hot by comparison.
The German 7.63x25mm Mauser ammo following re-adoption of the C96 in the 1930s ran...
In the gripping crime drama "Raising Arizona" convenience store robber "Hi" McDunnough was granted early parole in part because the gun he used to threaten was unloaded.
AI generated legal papers have been thrown out of court for generating case citations perfect in form but of cases that were never submitted, argued or decided by any known court. Artificial Intelligence Hallucinations they are called.
Since others are posting their reloads, some of mine:
_ 7.92x25mm for my 7.63mm C96 Mauser with a very worn eroded barrel. Proper ammo with .309" bullets was all over the std 25 yd target. .32 revolver bullets (.312", 7.92mm) fit the bore and engage what's left of the rifling and is accurate...
