It does look like there’s a little room to seat it a bit deeper if you want the numbers to match.

That’s a long nose bullet! What gun are you using? Hodgdon data uses magnum primers and a 10” test barrel, so everyone gets lower velocities. If it’s working in your revolver(?) and no problems with the OAL in any other guns, I would stay the course.

I would seat to the crimp groove as long as it fits in the chamber and work the load up.

    .22 TCM rifle

It’s a proprietary round, so you only get what RIA allows. I don’t think you can even get a reamer.

Online load data manuals/tools that include case fill?

Yup, Nosler is the only one I’ve seen.

PPC Loads for 38 Special and 357 Magnum (Target Level)

I’ve always had good luck with DEWC’s at 850-900 fps.

    9mm subsonic.

Have you tried it with 9/147? I’ve thought about it, but have always defaulted to Bullseye or 231. Viht does have data for 147 plated, I think Lyman is too conservative to list such a fast powder, don’t see it anywhere else. 2.8 max, that should be pretty darn quiet. Right now I’m using 3.4...

Where do you find 147 HST’s for handloading? I agree that N310 is awfully fast for 9mm/147.

    Single shot 22

Love my CZ 452 Scout, came with the single shot adapter, but will take mags as well. More accurate than more expensive rifles I’ve owned.

Would like to get a range report on those 147 match winners.

PPC Loads for 38 Special and 357 Magnum (Target Level)

Oh yeah, the old timers would remind us that the sprue end should be up.

PPC Loads for 38 Special and 357 Magnum (Target Level)

I like Unique, or at least I did, 5 grains in magnum brass and I seat cast DEWC to the crimp groove.

What have you done in the reloading room today

Took the red dot off my carbine, the 9 month accuracy and reliability testing period is over. (1 FT eject, 2 FT fire, exc accuracy with quite a few bullet types) So I loaded another batch of 9mm Luger with Blazer brass, Rem 5-1/2, 4.4 W231 and Sinterfire 100 grain frangible FP’s @ 1.120”.

What have you done in the reloading room today

Switching back from Power Pistol to W231 for some 147 plinkers for my 9mm carbine. Blazer brass, Rem 5-1/2, 4.3 W231, Rainier 147 plated RNFP @1.125”. Some of the last of my Rainier bullets, they were a darn good bullet.

Do you really think it would be 300 fps slower in a Glock than a 8” AR with 147’s? I don’t think it would be that much. A hot 115 load would loose that much, but all the chrono data I’ve seen of 147 loads is amazingly consistent from 4” to 16”.

Mossberg lever action .30-30: Why discontinued?

Ruger resurrected the Marlin name and took over the market.
  18. PO2Hammer

    9mm subsonic.

I think so. I use Bullseye and W231 in pistol and carbine loads with 147’s. Quiet even without a suppressor in the carbine.

    Are you "brand loyal"?

Somewhat. Like everything Redding makes, especially the comp dies and the 10X. For components I like everything Hornady makes, but I’m growing very fond of RMR bullets.

What have you done in the reloading room today

Fired up the BL 550 for the first time in a while. Loaded 9mm Luger with GFL brass, Rem 5-1/2, 5.0 grains Power Pistol and 124 RMR match winners @ 1.055”.
