I have 20 or more le trades. I have one that looks like hell. A 410 Smith but I suspect the finish on those was just garbage anyway. Function was fine.
All the Glock, sig, hk, and Beretta I've bought looked fine and shot great. Most have some scuffs on the grip where the gun rubs the...
Im 45 ish and my parents are about the only ones I knew who didn't go financing everything and we aren't in a wealthy community. Probably why I thought we were so poor. Lol. When our house was almost done (I was around 8) my mom begged dad to just go get a loan and finish it but he wouldn't. He...
Whos point are you making? If people were throwing away guns and having to replace them we wouldn't need gunsmith in the first place.....small parts break. 20 bucks fixes most anything on the newer guns. They don't get tossed. Most are still in use.
I reload and have 3 progressive presses...
Not for me. When i was 18 (2000 ish) a new sig or Beretta was 600 ish and minimum wage was 5 bucks and that's what you made at any fast food or convenience store. 10 was big money. Nowdays a Beretta or sig is still 600 bucks and I doubt you can find a job that pays under 15 most places...
Me too
Then I shot the M&P and that trigger caused it to be one of about 3 guns i ever got rid of. The gen 1 M&P trigger is legendary....and not in any good sort of way.
They drive new cars and finance everything. I rode with a kid the other day in high-school who was on a 30k dollar motorcycle. They can afford guns. Taco bell pays 15 dollars an hour. Walmart near 20 and I'm in appalachia.... not new York city or California. 2 weeks pay can buy a new python...
A lot of people say that's why the gun industry thrives the way it does. The gun manufacturers stirring up fear. The paranoia and gullibility of us dumb Americans....we beat that there king once we got to be ready to do er again. Murica
I've argued it many times. Gun sales are dumb. We buy...
Glock mags aren't plastic. They are metal with plastic over it. Keeps them from rusting. Take a magnet to one. Of all my glock only the 22lr has a plastic mag. My all steel Beretta/sig mags are no narrower/less clunky than the Glock in the same cartridge. And i have has to care for rust on...
I have a 617 10 shot and two old ones. I prefer the 617 probably. I couldn't care less if i fall on it. It won't rust. Accuracy is pretty close despite my 617 having less barrel length. It doesn't "feel" as good in action but as far as squirrel and rabbit.... they taste the same. If I had to...
I don't think I've ever really "over" paid. I have safes full of guns and I doubt anything in them could be bought cheaper than I paid at the time. They usually appreciate at least enough to match inflation. For the most part any old gun you see today will cost more in the future.
One I've...
Jennings and raven did. Phoenix mage the hp22 and hp25 and they were 10x the gun of the old j-22 or similar. They are often considered "ring of fire" because it's the jennings family company and run by the guy who ran raven but they really aren't near the junk those or lorcin etc were. The two...
I know. That's why I quoted both of your posts instead of just the one. So everyone else would see it was a joke.
But
I've just always found it funny that we have 200 or more msds sheets at the plant. And 99.99 percent of maintenance personal who actually uses the chemicals are male.....yet...
I've been in my factory for near 25 years....I've never once had a male come ask me for an msds sheet. (hazwoper, sds or whatever else they rename it). Every single person wanting to see one has been a woman. 400 employees and probably 75% male.
I'm very much a pump gun guy. I have more pump shotguns than all other shotguns.
That said my last gun purchase was a CZ teal double trigger sxs 12 guage. Lol
May have missed the boat for cheap ones though. I bought 5 in the past 4 years and 400 was the most I've paid. That one was a cpo 229. Aim and recoil had 40s (226 and 229) like new for 300-350 dollars for 2 years. Lol
My first 220 I drove 4 hours to give 750 dollars for. Was a deal back then...
Guessing what will go up in value is pretty tough too. The most I've ever paid for an M1 carbine is 400 dollars (from my grandpa... No gimmes from that bunch. Lol). Least was 175 from Rose's. I never afforded a Garand because they were higher. They made so many carbines I didn't think they...
The black ones I've ordered look like the officers drug the gun behind the cruiser instead of inside in a holster. Lol. That 5946 in stainless would likely look better. I bitch about my sig legion guns having a paper thin finish but those blacked third gens are much worse. Mine do shoot OK and...
