The upcoming generations don’t have the appreciation of older firearms that we do.
They are more into capacity and accessories with their guns.
Most of them look upon metal and wood guns as passé relics.
As has been said here, shoot and enjoy the old timers.
You “may” make some money when it it...
My wife carried a j frame 38 for 50 years but the recoil became too painful. She went through Ruger, Kahr 9mms and 380s but slide racking was problematic.
She liked the feel of my P365.
We went to the local gun store and she tried the P365 380 acp.
She racked the slide with ease and said I’ll...
Back when I was 14, that was 67 years ago, I was with my Dad and another guy on my first elk hunt.
The guy that was with us had a 1895 30-06. That was one classy rifle.
One night while in camp two guys came through and stopped to visit. They were from California and one noticed the 95. He asked...
My wife and I finally got to the range yesterday to try out her new Sig P365 380. She could rack the slide and manipulate the controls easily.
She also consistently shot groups that were very impressive.
She is very pleased with the new gun and she carrying it now.
Before the turn of the last century my Granddad ordered a Trapdoor rifle from Bannermans before he and his wife homesteaded in Wyoming. He wanted it in case there were Indians or outlaws still roaming around.

When they got to Wyoming and got all...

The result was the Razorback. I got one with my badge number for a serial number.
I liked it so well I talked then owner Bob Serva into building me one in CCO configuration.
I carried one or the...

Fifty years ago, on Wyoming’s highways I never hesitated to stop and see if I could help.
At the same time as a Highway Patrolman, I could be in a rather uncomfortable traffic stop, and more than once an old rancher would go by in his pickup and make a...
I sold most of mine at gun shows over the last few years. I’m down to a couple for son and grandson, and a couple for self defense.
I have to say they were a darned good investment.
I got my first gun when I was 12. I grew up with guns, carried as LEO, hunted for years.
Retired now and still have a few for self defense that will go to son and grandson.
I guess I just don’t know any better.
