What’s the correct move in this ambush?

It's a hard watch. The only option for survival(while unarmed) is to rush the attacker, wich is counter intuitive.

    RCBS CUSTOMER SERVICE

I ruined several decapping pins on berdan primers. I called RCBS to order replacements and the lady insisted that she send me some for free. RCBS is the paragon of customer service.

Case length variation after sizing .223

I trim with a 3 way every time for my target rifle. I've made it a routine part of the process. I've never done any testing to see if it matters.

Pacific Tool and Gauge customer service

I ordered a new SA Savage bolt face on 2-13-25 and didn't receive an order confirmation. No big deal, right? 2 weeks later, wondering if I'd made an error ordering, sent an email basically stating as such and that I hadn't received a conformation.... another week no response. Today I called...

Two Rabbit Hunting Questions: spoilage and rabbit still breathing.

We use the squeeze method to field dress rabbit. Requires no tools just start at the ribcage and work your way to the rear of the animal, pressure will eliminate the entrails. The easiest way to kill a wounded rabbit is to put your foot on its head. Rabbit is an easy animal to kill, skin...

Tacom Structured barrel test with Eric Cortina

https://youtu.be/yL5V5vuhxyw?si=-5kPYX-ZzT4dACaf There's been a few threads on this topic in the last few years. I don't believe real world test conditions and conclusions were posted. These barrels are one piece and very heavy. It wouldn't be practical for most hunting applications. The...

I spent my life savings on a Frank Wesson rimfire rifle!

Very cool! My grandfather said his uncle gave him a Enfield rifle as a boy. He said he remembered it to be in fair condition when he got it but he really mistreated it as it was thought to be basically junk at the time. The family were farm workers that moved a lot between the deep south states...

    jonesing for a 6.8 western

AccuBonds do have excellent big game performance. Won't have to worry about penetration in high velocity/close range applications.

    jonesing for a 6.8 western

I just don't like the bullet selection for 6.8(.2770"). The best B.C. is about .640 Nosler, I think. It could be so much better with higher BC bullets.

    Savage 110 Trail Hunter

7mm-08 is my go-to it's nearly the perfect cartridge IMHO. Lower recoil, very accurate, multitudes of high BC bullets to reload. The only questionable issue would be the manufacturers choice of twist. *More than a 9.5 is a no-go for me. Edited for clarity

6.8 SPC wins vs 3/8" Steel, 6MM Arc, 22 Arc and 6.5 Grendel

At face value, the SPC seems to smoke all the ARCs. But, all the ARCs were shooting ELD-M and the SPC was shooting the SST. ELD-M has a thinner jacket than hunting bullets.

A basic question about concealed carry and carrying in your vehicle

True, but for the working stiffs, there's no other option. I do have a strongbox in my work car but a bad guy with a bolt cutter could make off with the box and pry it open elsewhere. 50th Street S, Birmingham AL is no place to be caught unarmed.

    Savage 110 Trail Hunter

YEAH, 7PRC would be my vote with Arken optics Japanese glass scope. 7PRC whoops most everything at 1000yds and I'd love to reload for it. There's promo codes on some of the hunting/ shooting YT channels that'll get you a decent percentage off the Arken glass as well. It's impressive for the...
