Hey this thread has had a lot of drift, some of it moderator-induced, and has now degenerated into a war of language semantics. Maybe it needs to be shut down.
What do you guys think of adding a Kel Tec Sub2000 carbine that takes Glock 19 mags to a BOB, if your primary gun is a Glock 19 already? It is 16" folded and only weighs 4 pounds, and uses the same mags?
other than their obvious external cosmetic differences, are these guns functionally similar? They both look very close to me and i am not sure why HK would make both if they are similar.
Does the p2000 only come with LEM trigger? or can it be DA/SA also?
How many people keep a dedicated gun in their bug out bag?
I am in the process of putting a BOB together and was wondering if I should place a gun in it. If I do I would probably place a Glock 19 or maybe just a 22 cal pistol in it. I am trying to keep the bag as light and efficient as...
Are there any other stores like Buds, with a large online inventory, that allows for shopping online? I know of Davidson's. I dont like gunbroker or gunsamerica.
Uhhh... wrong.
Assault weapons by federal definition are semi-auto.
Assault rifles by military definition are full auto.
There is a difference between an assault weapon, as federally defined, and an assault rifle, as defined by the military.
Also the term "assault weapon" was used in...
I am thinking of trying a new 45 ACP. Of these two, I am leaning towards the HK, primarily because I can carry it DA/SA or SA cocked and lock.
What are you opinions of these two guns?
Firearms parts are treated (apparently) the same as firearms as far as the TSA is concerned.
Here is a link to their webpage that deals with the transport of firearms and parts:

Before dealing with the TSA or attempting...
Dirtiness of the gun is not what I am worried about, as any gun that is being carried or used for defense i going to be kept clean. I am more concerned about a mag follower tilting, letting the round nose dive enough for the JHP edge to hang and not feed well, or other similar problem. This...
Scientists submitting a paper have to submit their data so it can be reviewed and verified by others before being accepted. M&S won't do that. So their data cannot be independently reviewed. Without independent review, you are simply accepting whatever they say is true. If they are biased...
No they won't let an outside reviewer see their data. From a scientific standpoint, they will not allow verification. If they were attempting to publish this data, it would be rejected because it does not allow for outside review of the collected data. Saying that anyone could collect this...
Actually, it is "data" from Marshall and Sanow. Their study was so unscientific that I do not think any usable information can be drawn from it. They refuse to share the raw data. There is no reason to believe their statistics aren't just completely made up. They won't allow others to...
You are impressed by 3MOA accuracy? I am not really, but its good enough for the intended use of the Mini 30. Also, if you turn the power setting down on the Aimpoint, you can get the dot smaller than 4moa.
I will stand by my claim that the Mini 30 Tactical will do 3-4 inch groups though.
It just a shame ruger didn't design the Mini 30 to work with Russian steel case lacquer coated ammo. They say its ok to fire it in a video that was on the Ruger website a while back, but I have had light firing pin strikes as I said, but no other problems with it.
