Why Emphasize That It's A LOADED Gun?

I think you watch too much television.

    Investment firearms?

Just one example; "Fidelity Magellan Fund", one of the largest mutual funds, has returned an average of over 15% since its inception in 1963. Under a Roth IRA, you will not pay taxes on the money taken out after you are 59 1/2 years old. Firearms are poor investments.

    Keep Protecting The Wolves?

How is recognizing reality an endorsement? Much like a wolf, I am neither satisfied or upset by the suffering and death of a wild animal. More often than not, that is their fate. I have two retrievers. They are not for sale but $2500 is not even close to the market value of either one. And...

    Keep Protecting The Wolves?

Is anyone comforted by the possibility of being reimbursed $2500 if a wolf kills your dog in Wisconsin?

    Keep Protecting The Wolves?

Referring to the local population in Zimbabwe that live in constant fear of lions. As far as wolves in Wisconsin or any other well populated area in this country, "the law" and this thread won't change a thing. A 22 rim fire in the gut will. I neither endorse or condemn it. I am just...

    Keep Protecting The Wolves?

None of our constitutional rights apply to this forum, and we aren't even supposed to talk about it here. This thread reminds me of "Cecil" the lion. Remember that? Guess how popular "Cecil" was among the local population.

    Keep Protecting The Wolves?

I find it somewhat amusing that a largely pro 2A forum has so little regard for the 1st.

    Keep Protecting The Wolves?

    The discussion is about reality.

    Keep Protecting The Wolves?

    1. "Sorry about you lost your calf sir but there is no evidence that wolves were responsible" Wisconsin DNR 2. How is fair market value or $2,500 'Paying owners well'? Of course it isn't and I have no idea why you interpreted it that way. Neither did I. People can, do and will continue to take...

🙄 Guessing you don't own livestock. You sound like someone that lives in Madison.

    Keep Protecting The Wolves?

A poacher someone that shoots a big buck in the middle of the night or kills 3 limits of ducks in a day. Killing an apex predator in your own neighborhood is not in the same category. I have never killed a wolf, lack of opportunity is the only reason. Then you should have no worries.

    Keep Protecting The Wolves?

Protected or not, there are plenty of local people will and do "take care of" wolves in their neighborhood.

Need an index rod for Lee turret press

I bought one a few years ago, from Lee I think. Quickly learned I like the press much better without it.

    450 Bushmaster

I have killed several deer with an AR chambered in 450BM. All with home rolled Hornady 250gr FTX pushed with LilGun. Apparently the none of the deer I shot heard the interweb stories about how ineffective that bullet is.

Small primer vs large primer same case.

In a perfect world we would be able to use small rifle primers for everything.

    300 BLK Subsonic

I don't know what the coating is. What comes off each bullet isn't even visible but it builds up in the seating die after a number of rounds.

    300 BLK Subsonic

I have not read the whole thread yet, 1680 and CFE-BLK both work well. I have not tried H110. Berry's 220 work great. I also loaded bunch of 220 gr "Blue Bullets". They cost less, shoot fine and need less powder to stay subsonic. I will not order more because the coating builds up in the...

    Single Stage Press Advice

Yes. That may or may not be important depending on the round and its intended purpose. I would consider it a waste of time to load 9mm on a single stage press. I also consider it a waste of time to set up a a progressive press just to load 20 - 100 rounds of rifle ammo.
