Outstanding. It does my heart good to see the "change of heart" once they find how enjoyable shooting can be.
Gotta love the G44 -- it's even more fun suppressed.

That's the reason I went with the 460 (to keep from high pressure rounds finding their way into my Les Baer). I have a 1911 and son has an H&K USP. Easy to shoot with decent power (less recoil than my Kahr CM45).

The 1911 is "softer" shooting v the H&K (considerably heavier).

The H&K...
Plinkin' steel yesterday with this Bersa Thunder. It's picky about ammo but easy to shoot for a small pistol.

The Ruger SR22 and Glock G44 have been 100% reliable with factory 10 rnd mags. The 18 rnd after market G44 mag is reliable when loaded with only 16rnds. The G44 is lightest of...
Replaceable insert to take the brunt of forcing cone erosion caused by large charges of ball powders like 296/H110.
This might help -- only six posts so a short read

Freedom Arms and others offer Red Dot bases that fit in the rear sight mortis for a real clean install. And yes I also think they are ugly but old eyes trump beauty.

My 454 FA83 - early Field Grade. Had the firing pin retrofitted and a 45 Colt cyl added at the same time maybe 10 yrs ago (can't remember). Bought in late 80s or early 90s (pretty sure late 80s). Do remember the price ($900). The most accurate handgun (along with FA97 44 special) I've ever...
Early John Linebaugh "4 shot" 475 - not mine but I shot it maybe 10 yrs ago. After shooting, owner told me the load -- a couple of grains over Speer manual with 400gr Jacketed Speer - think he was using data provided by John for cut down 45-70 brass. A handful for sure.

One of my favorites - 3 1/2" round butt .45 colt "5 shot" M97 with 45 acp aux cyl.

Absolute delight with 45 acp cyl

With 45 Colt cyl will rugn 320gr FNGC at 1,140 fps

Old sore hands limit the latter.

Call Freedom Arms and ask them if they still support the forcing cone bushing - I don't think they do. This is an early gun and doesn't have the replaceable firing pin (can be retrofitted for a couple hundred $ incl shipping). The firing pin's are subject to breakage. Don't know what "EXP" is...
If you don't like the finger grooves, they can be removed with a sanding drum on a dremel, belt sander or a sanding block. These were done with a knife sharpening belt sander. I got impatient but if you take your time a much more aesthetic outcome will result. In addition, I rounded the butt...

Take your pick - left to right 1 7/8" M360 ScTi (Crimson Trace green laser), 3" M60 (Crimson Trace red laser), 2.75" M66-8 (unmodified Hogue Tamers). Obviously, grips can be changed to fit your needs.
