    243 Win. Ammo and loads?

Some folks use berger, I prefer jbm: https://www.jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmstab-5.1.cgi MOST bullet lengths can be found here: https://www.jbmballistics.com/ballistics/lengths/lengths.shtml And yes getting the length of the plastic tip makes a difference..... All my savages have a 1:9.25", I...

    243 Win. Ammo and loads?

You didn't say what your twist rate was? The 1:10 may or may not like the accubonds, I'd definitely run it through a stability calculator before betting on them.

    243 Win. Ammo and loads?

The SST is just a wee bit splodier than the btips IME, but having a flat base, they still penetrate well and are often more accurate that the competitors boattails in some slower twist barrels, would definitely take them over the fusions, not that the fusions don't work, they just work...

Savage and Remington, 85 gr barnes, sgk, 90 gr tgk, 95 gr sst and nbt, 100 gr pro hunter, all for deerish sized critters, 55 gr nbt and 85 gr sierra vmt for pdogs-coyotes, 4166 for everything 55-85gr, 4451 for 90-100gr and h1000 for 95-100 gr, most factory loads work well if your barrel is...

.308 vs 30.06 vs .338 . Which One to Choose?

They use pure copper and lead rather than alloys and the nose of the aframe is bonded instead of just cup n core technology.

    Bolt Action Bug-Home Rifles

I don't have one, or really, much of a use for one, but for such a case, I'd like the ruger american ranch/savage hog hunter (#1) or a Marlin 336 (#2), I'm gonna wanna be quick and portable if I'm trying to get to home base without one of my ar-15s at hand. Really, a short compact lightweight...

rifle for new youth hunter, .357 mag, 44 mag or 243.

Not wrong there, my buddy's 788 (.243) Uber lightweight short barreled hard plate kicks disproportionate to expectations too! STILL trying to talk him into a different pad or stock but hard to want to modify a legacy gun with lots of sentimental value. Just mounting a scope was a big win.

rifle for new youth hunter, .357 mag, 44 mag or 243.

Ok.... so I still pick .243 of the 3 choices, but I don't want to lead on misinformation. Out of a 7 lb rifle, a .44 with 225s @1400 has 8 ftlbs of recoil energy, with 240s @1500- 10 ftlbs of recoil energy, a lighter rifle? Yeah, a little more recoil, but we are in standard .243 deer load...

My everything rifle build, Tikka 375 ruger all weather

Sooooo I have not played with the .375 yet, but played a LOT with .338 and .300wm, and several other magnum class cartridges....this option may not be the most wallet friendly, but what I found was that the lighter bullets just go too fast up close, (which CAN be desirable), the accubonds and...

    The 6mm Max Cartridge......

I wasn't looking at jump, more of how much crams into the powder space to fit, and several of the heavy eld types are longer than the smk.... it's doable ish with them, but not gonna bother if it can be done with the CM, and again, the MAX can ram little bullets through at fairly decent speeds...

Thinkin about a new bolt rifle, want it skinny in the withers

Mine is an r1, looks like a lupo, semiautomatic, but the lines look the same looking at the lupo, the forearm may be slightly narrower than mine at the widest point. Eta, seeing has how they're chambered for similar cartridges, I doubt the mag is much wider, might even get a touch slimmer...

    The 6mm Max Cartridge......

I don't doubt that one bit, seen good stuff with the 90 gr btips and sgks too...but I have wind... the 2.8" mag length would work up to the amaxish.... doableish but might be better off with the 6cm as was previously mentioned.

    The 6mm Max Cartridge......

Yes.... but I think only the ph wouldn't sponge up so much case capacity....and I could just grab a 6.5 Grendel for that "trade-off" game.....mind you I haven't seen internal measurements on mags for SFAR....

Thinkin about a new bolt rifle, want it skinny in the withers

My benelli is 1.44" at carry point of the mag, the forearm tapers from narrow to wide, top down, at its widest, 1.784", and 1.35" at the semi pistol grip "wrist", the patriots and axis rifles are thinner but I can't tell you by how much off the top of my head
