This would seem to be a troll thread which is likely not to improve with age.

Help me understand: Who leads the 2A militia?

I believe OP has as good an answer as he is likely to see. In the absence of case law defining militia for 2A purposes, all we can do is expound upon our favorite theory and speculate.

She Has A Thing About Caps/Lids

Good to hear it all worked out! OP's question is answered and the issue resolved. I love happy endings!

She Has A Thing About Caps/Lids

Probably a mineral oil base. Maybe WD-40? Ballistol? My better half also seems disinclined to tighten caps/lids. It's probably got to do with not having to rely on someone else to remove 'em.

    Dalstrong 8" Chefs Knife

Only place I have seen them is on Amazon, but I ordered one a few years back. It was well made, had a nice finish and has worked fine on the rare occasions that warrant something flashy. My primary is a 10" Victorinox, backed by a couple Mercer 8" workhorses, but the Dalstrong comes out when I...

The perfect sheath for a $13 knife

The CS bushman is actually a spear head that can be used as a knife. A hardened spear head would shatter, so one can imagine the degree of edge retention these have. It does appear that you got exactly what you paid for. Keep tetanus booster updated!

Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have dangerous things.

And, it looks like this one has gone long enough to tilt into political never-neverland.

    Gun Shop Loyalty

This thread started off on an interesting tack when the term "loyalty" was used in the title. [insert Princess Bride meme: " He keeps using that word. I do not think it means what he thinks it means."] Similar terms are devotion, dedication and faithfulness. They really are not applicable to...

    Dedicated Amazon Box Knife

I have been spoiled by Olfa and NT Cutter snap blade knives. Steel and edges are excellent and last a long time.

    Gun Shop Loyalty

A poor dealer will irritate you. A good dealer will make you think you got the better of the deal.

    Gun Shop Loyalty

I like to think I am a savvy gun trader, but I suspect that the gun dealer, who watches, listens, lists, consigns and checks prices all day every day will always have me outgunned. "Ya wanna pet it?" my old dealer, since retired, used to ask. He could watch my response, see the eyes dilate, and...

Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have dangerous things.

I am not minimizing the other behavior, but it is dog bites man. We often see foolish behaviors, but that doesn't normally trigger a proclamation that certain people should not be allowed to have a gun, a car, a knife, or whatever. We can think what we want, but it seems short-sighted to aid...

    Blown up Tikka

Here is a link to that discussion. Bad steel, mostly ultralight stainless barrels, 20+ years ago. https://www.go2gbo.com/threads/recall-on-tikka-t3-and-sako-rifles.35015/

Why is concealed carry so frowned upon?

Frowned upon? Three factors at work when that happens. Ignorance, fear, and the desire to control other people and places. Ignorance is the belief that criminals will obey laws, especially if we have more. Fear is the fear of the unknown, usually by those who are not familiar with the concept...

Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have dangerous things.

Thoughtlessness is hardly limited to guns or gun shows. It is seen everyday on the highway, on videos, all around us. The OP was upset over someone cutting in line, but that doesn't mean that he or the king should be deciding who can have dangerous things. cars, boats, knives, canes, bricks...

    Home defense scenario

I believe there was a suggestion that a topic started in general handguns be moved to legal because discussion of the castle doctrine had arisen. Those discussions were not relevant to the OP there, so that thread was discontinued. This thread was then started with a hypothetical that resembled...

Handguns vs shotguns for (home) self-defense

The OP asks whether people prefer a handgun or shotgun for home defense. It does not ask about rifles, PDWs or crew served weapons. It does not ask about strategy, philosophy or restatements of the law. If folks want to answer the OP with their choice of the two options, there may be some...

Another unique and wise one gone. He enriched a number of lives, however, so left a fine legacy.
