First time posting in many years so forgive me if this is a common question. I want to get novak sights installed and get my new MkIII cerakoted and was wondering if anyone can recommend a reputable place.
I have looked around the internet quite a bit and found some good info but it seems there should be more for this cartridge since its been around a while. Any one have some good 110-120 grain load recommendations for this out of a 14 inch contender? Mostly looking for powders to get good...
Has anyone ran this powder in an AR platform using 55 grain Vmaxes? I recently stumbled upon their 5.56 pressure loads for 75 grain HPBT and got good results. Any help would be appreciated.
Big Bad Bob we have to exchange info on powders and what not. I have loaded a bunch of 85grain HPBT sierras with H4895, AA2460, and Benchmark. Lemme know how it goes with yours when you're up and runnin'!
I own an LC9 and a Keltec P3AT and I looked at the only Shield I could find in the area. The Shield is, in my opinion a great gun as far as size compared to the LC9 and has a much better trigger. i will be traded the LC9 towards it. If I wanna carry in the pocket the Keltec is the go to gun...
I have smaller variances in my H4895 in my lee dropper. I still use it for plinking rounds and it seems to be good enough. H4895 is actually pretty short cut not like IMR's version.
I'd have to second what Patriot1/3 says. If funds allow an MRP to switch cals is a great option. Otherwise I wouldn't rely on a 5.56 for all pigs. I would go 6.8 if its hunting/plinking. Hard hitting and a fair amount of ammunition choices on the market nowadays.
Well not to hijack the thread but I just took the plunge and bought the parts for a 7.62x40WT and can't wait to put it together...blackout and 6.8 were runner ups but the gun is not going to be suppressed and I have the brass I need to make the 7.62x40 brass and the bullets....not too hard to...
REALLY wanting to pick an olive drab Sig 1911-22 up and mount a Jpoint in the rear dovetail. Has anyone done this and if not does anyone think the wieght, although minimal, would make the slide slow enough to cause malfunctions?
I just inherited an old remington single shot .22 from my late brother and after working on it (it was in kinda poor shape) it seems as though the barrel had been bent at on time and someone did their best to straighten it out. When I push the rod through it gets caught ever so slightly where...
