I been away from THR for many months. This is truly sad news of RCs passing. I remember nearly every question I ever asked would be promptly answered by RC. He was always ready to help and never made you feel dumb for asking. I too will miss him. My condolences to his family and close friends.
I've got the VP9 my shooting buddy has all the Walter models, including the PPQ.They're both nice guns, I went with the H&K because I also have a P30 , the mags are interchangeable. My H&Ks have been 100% reliable from day one.
I just added the VP9 to my tool box. My P30 was my first handgun and though I still love it , I wanted a striker fire and a little nicer trigger . Well the VP9 is all I'd hoped it would be , and interchangeable mags is a +++.
Picked up a H&K vp9 last week. I already have a p-30 but I did not have a full sized striker fired gun. I liked the idea that the vp9 used the same mags as my p-30. I bought the LE version ( night sights & three mags), that gives me a total of seven mags.
With only a hundred rounds through it...
I opted for the fluted (3" 686+ TALO ) I'm very happy with it. The only complaint I have is, with 357mag loads, the trigger guard pounds my middle finger. I probably need to modify my grip somehow , it's my first and only revolver.
I need two holsters. I want to be able to cc my 3" 686+ and my commander size S&W 1911 (not at the same time mind you). Both holster need to be easy on the finishes of the guns.
Maybe this will Help. pm9 w/night sites. EDC for the last four years. Thousands of practise rounds through it, 100% reliable. Silent Thunder IWB holster.
cfullgraf , I hear YA, but I'm 56 years old and I never miss the opportunity to vote. I live in Michigan(a great place) and seldom get my way. I can tell you that it causes me more than a little distress to know that we're only one Supreme Court vote away from tyranny. I know some would say...
I just bought the SSA-E . None of the dealers I checked were discounting them so I bought mine directly from Geissele. They shipped it with a nice hat and some decals. I must tell you, the second stage is considerably lighter than the standard SSA
In times like these....
I can't wait for the day when we can, at our leasure ( or when we start running low) on components, log on to our favorite site or walk into our favorite store and buy what we need . Until that day returns it's nice to have people like bds and others, who will take the...
I have the 686+ Talo addition in a three inch. Great looking and shooting gun. I especially like the trigger. I just have one question for you revolver guys, how do I avoid the trigger guard beating the heck out of my finger using 357 loads?
Thanks for the reply and input. I'm don't want to go as far as to say that you can't get the job done with a .380 but my thought was, I would like her to carry a caliber with bit more punch. She doesn't seem to be overly recoil sensitive, she can shoot every gun I own without issue. The point...
Sig p938 for my wfe
I was looking at this gun this weekend and it looked very interesting. My wife currently carries a Bursa CC .380. I would like to move her out of the .380 and into a 9mm. The Sig, with the Hogue grips, has a solid feel in the hand. She carries the Bursa with one in the...
The 10-22 Take Down I bought last year was my first .22 cal rifle. I'm very happy with it. I put the Nikon 3x9 rimfire scope on it (old eyes) , it's a tight squeeze but it fits in the bag still. I also bought three BX25 mags for it, saves on reoading time:)
Definitely my fault, doesn't make it any easier except. I'll probably keep it as emergency stash. Who knows if I hang on to it long enough, it may turn out to be a bargin.
