I have a 336Y. 16" barrel, shorter stock. Most think it is a .22 when they see it because of it's size. In 30-30, it's a hard hitting, handy little unassuming rifle.

I think one included magazine would be sufficient.

I had a 10/22 with a GM barrel, Hogue stock, and a VQ trigger. I got my CZ-452, and promptly sold the GM barrel, Hogue stock, and put the original parts back on the 10/22. It's now a nice, little plinking rifle to shoot at cans with. Which is what they were designed for in the first place...

I had a XD9, and I traded it even up for a G19. I never looked back. If your going to CCW, the Glock conceals a lot better. My XD9 was actually about the same size as my G22.

They've actually gone up $50. I bought mine in February from them for $945. I've read that distributors are having a hard time getting Colts in, so that may explain the price increase.

I sold a DPMS and kicked in $200 to buy a new 6920 last month. Money well spent. I did the same thing the month before to get my BCM. I consider them both to be upgrades over their predecessors.

I have them in carbine,mid,and rifle length. While I appreciate the modularity of them, over time I've grown to dislike them. Maybe they're too common now, maybe it's how they feel, I don't know...I've been switching back to standard handguards. I tend to like my ARs on the KISS side anyways.

I'll also give the nod to a Daniel Defense A1.5 fixed rear sight. Simple and robust.

35W, is that a M39 front sight on the first rifle? If so, how did you mount it?

I would recommend a 7.62x39 Saiga. Perfectly useable in it's stock form. He can convert it later if he's so inclined.

I have 3 Mosins, and I'd trade them for a .22! Seriously, buy a .22.
