All I have ever used (on ALL calibers) to remove crimped primers is the standard decapping...
I've owned the Sigma 40VE for some years and love it.
I use Lee also and my .45 have (only) loaded over 10,000 rounds. Certainly, and in my case, obviously, not enough to wear it out.
