SP101 in 2 inch 357 for me . reliability ,plenty of power, enough weight to be able to maintain control and ability to shoot 38 specials ....
My favorite pocket gun is my Sig p 238 if i feel i need more I carry my LCR 357.

I also have the LCR in 357. I load it with 38 +p. I changed the grips to the larger Hogue , they make it much more comfortable and controllable...
Stay with the 38 and have her load it with wadcutters. Very manageable recoil , and much more damage to target Sometimes bigger is better.
