Yep, one of my Lyman Plains pistols is at Lyman right now for replacement. It was never fired before sending in. I only hope the one they send me...
Maybe make up two of them?
I'm not surprised. All of my Mossbergs seem to have really soft magazine springs. Makes it nice to load. But I can see how the above might happen.
How about a Howdah pistol?
I have several 870's including one PM. Only thing I don't like about the PM is the incredibly stout magazine spring.
What chokes do you have in your double? We moved south from NE Washington state, so used to be not far from you. Turkeys were getting to be...

Mine is a Win. Model 1897 12 Ga. made in 1912. Grandfather gave it to me, it's in excellent condition.

I drooled over the "cheap" SKB's in the BX in Yokosuka in the late 1960's. Couldn't afford one on Navy pay.
I carry mine in a Simply Rugged pocket holster.
I emailed Lyman a week ago about my Plains pistol. No reply yet.
Very good shooting!
This guy is a fool. He doesn't know how uniform his loads are, how much pressure he is getting and using a spoon is a very poor method of...
Boy, close call! I have a rifle and pistol. The pistol is in the range, so I have contacted Lyman by email. Thankyou for posting this.
