Thanks! Great stuff, and a LOT of reading!
I don't like paperback reference books in general. I would never 'cheap out' instead of getting a terrific hardback.
That's the conclusion I was coming to also.
I have Hornady, One Book/One Caliber, etc., but I don't yet have any Lyman manuals....
I am not quite a new reloader, but I do have only a little over 40,000 rounds of 45acp reloading experience.
I think I will be better off to add...
I am thinking about getting myself a little light reading for Christmas.
When I looked at Amazon, I saw seven different editions of The...
I remember your thread about the KB in your SP101.
That was a bummer for all of us.
It had to really suck for you!
It shoots so well with...
Lots of good info. Thank you guys!
A nearby LGS stocks 2400 and BE86.
I will get a bottle of each and work up a couple of loads.
(Once the bullets...
I use a bunch of coated bullets from Precision or MBC.
I'll probably stick with them except for SD loads.
Edit-- Will WSPs be good? Doggone autocorrect.
My current powder stash is probably no help. All I have right now is HP38 and Clays.
Way too fast for magnum applications, I would think.
Thanks for the valuable input guys!
I have used Win WLPs exclusively for the last two years with 100% reliable function.
Don't 357s use SPPs?...
Thanks, rg1! That's a good start.
You, too, Walkalong! I use a LOT of Precision SWCs already. That simplifies my supply orders.
Even for casual...
I've been loading all my 45acp ammo for about 3 1/2 years, and I decided to get a 3" Ruger SP101 in 357 Magnum that I want to reload for.
That's what a lot of people say about straight-walled pistol brass.
Unless you over-flare them, they just last and last.
I don't know how...
Some of you are familiar with the journey I've been on with my lil SDB for the last three years or so.
Today we reached two milestones. Well, one...
Like brewer12345, I also shoot buckets of 200gn SWCs at paper targets, and they might be adequate for the job, but
That wadcutter must punch really nice holes in paper targets.
It is also exactly what I had in mind for a woods load.
My 1911s prolly wouldn't...
The model 25, 325, or 625 are outstanding wheelguns.
The 325 is a lighter alloy version, but with 45ACPs the recoil is still very minimal.
It's certainly not a magnum, but I do love wheelguns.
My avatar says it pretty well.
That's 48 rounds offhand at 10 yards on a 3 inch target.
Thanks for the resonses.
My typical target load is a 200gn LSWC over a light load of Clays or HP38.
The 625 is an N frame, but I don't ever beat...
