    A300 vs 1301

My Benelli M1 super 90 uses an inertia system, as did the M2. The A300 uses a gas operating system. Recoil of the later will generally be much less disruptive.

Taurus TX 22 gen 2 - your opinion

I haven't had much time with mine yet, but it has been fun to shoot and reliable for the first few hundred rounds. Good ergonomics, reasonable sights and good capacity. I believe they are now selling a compact model. I am planning to use my gen 2 standard model with a silencer, as it has a...

    My road rage shooting/.22 TCM

What have we learned here? The 22TCM is essentially a 223 shortened enough to feed through a semi-auto pistol. TCM stands for Tuason Craig Magnum. It was developed or adopted by Armscor, and despite good performance hasn't achieved widespread market success. If we are involved in a shooting...

    My road rage shooting/.22 TCM

I moved to ST&T as suggested above. Glad it turned out OK for the innocent. I attribute the assurance to adrenalin in the system, but it's a reminder to think before posting. I have a 22TCM9r. Nice little round that will likely not get much traction because Rock Island/Armscor won't share the...

    NSSF Gun Owner Database

For many years warranty cards were a method of attempting to limit liability as well as gather marketing information. IMO it was foolish to submit them. However, they are useful for recall information, and required when rebates or incentives like additional magazines are offered with purchase...

    Happy 10/22 day

I didn't care for them originally, because the pistol grip was fat due to the width of the magazine. I had a very accurate one pass through my hands that made me a believer, so purchased one with a Choate stock, aftermarket barrel and installed a Power Custom trigger. It was later joined by a...

Does anyone make a affordable Biathlon style rifle?

The Hammerli Force B1 has a price of $523 at Bud's currently. There are at least 10 videos on YT. Umarex seems more focused on features than basic accuracy, but time will tell if an aftermarket develops. Mags and trigger systems are said to use Ruger designs.

How does answering Unknown on Question 10 of a 4473 affect your application?

To summarize, answer the question truthfully. Your answer does not affect the purchase process unless you are attempting to purchase a firearm that is prohibited in the jurisdiction where you reside. We can discuss political subdivisions until the cows come home, but answers to the Reside in...

    Selling and Shipping Ammo Question

@dogtown tom is likely your best resource on this question, but last I heard, Fedex and UPS would ship ammunition if declared, securely packaged, within weight restrictions and the proper symbol was applied to the outer packaging along with required address labels. Motor freight would also be an...

    P Mag Question

My gen 2s have worked well with my guns, but I have heard others complain when using rounds other than 5.56. The gen 3s have a lip at top rear which prevents overinsertion in some guns. There is also texture on the spines, a different polymer said to be stronger is used, a dot matrix assists...

    Walther CSP

I enjoy shooting my Hammerli Trailside, which the CSP strongly resembles (Umarex owns them all). If you are talking 1.5K for the CSP, I would check out current Hammerli offerings, even though the recent pistols probably have little in common with the Hammerlis that built such a good reputation...

CLP -- which one do you use???

Breakfree CLP for wiping, Hoppe's #9 for bore cleaning and Lucas extreme duty for lubricating. I don't need the best--just what works for me. If I have special challenges, like cleaning the bore of a newly acquired military firearm, I call in the specialists.

FYSA-SCOTUS hears oral arguments on ATF rule change on "ghost guns"

There is a big difference between removing an existing serial number and having a gun which never had a serial number. Many guns made before 1968 had no serial number, as they were not required until then. Removal or obliteration is a crime, and I believe a serial number is necessary before a...
