What is the most recent knife you bought?

New grail day. I am big on Carothers Performance Knives, but short of a few truly one-off things I'll almost certainly never be able to own (there is a 10" full integral CPM3V dagger with four lobed micarta handle inserts that is truly one-of-a-kind and would probably be $15,000 if its owner...

    New Ruger Mini-14 Tactical

Well, I've always loved it when a plan comes together.

What is the most recent knife you bought?

Forgot to share these. Les George Knives, a VECP and two MK3s. They consistently have the nicest action of any knives I've owned, and that's on phosphor bronze washers, not even bearings. Koenig is the only thing that comes close, and they're 1.5-2x the price.

Ruger Mini-14 vs. AR-15 - Which one and why?

I like how the Mini-14 handles and its resemblance to the M1 carbine that I also love. But I own AR-15s and no Mini-14s. Yet, I suppose.

What is the last gun that you bought?

I really wanted one of these for nostalgia's sake. Carried one around Ft. Benning for a while, after all.

    Why 32 h&r?

Sure, and I agree about the size - an Airweight is roughly comparable to the guns you mention, but in my case the difference maker is the loaded weight. Obviously a Hellcat or P365 is superior as a defensive gun, since it carries more ammunition that is more powerful, but the 'more ammunition'...

    Henrys new .223/5.56 rifle

I think it's cool and different. I can't get over the resemblance to a Crosman air gun, though.

    Bull 1911 Government 9mm (Used)

BUL is definitely one of the better entry-level 1911s in terms of build quality. They're known for their double-stack competition 2011s in the European circuit, but relatively unknown in the States.

    Why 32 h&r?

I never said they were new or unique to the Lipsey's guns, I just said they were superior to any of the micro semiauto factory sights. I'll grant that this is an opinion, and I'll grant that Springfield calls the Hellcat a micro gun, but a loaded Hellcat weighs about 7 oz. more than a loaded...

    Why 32 h&r?

Which factory micro semiautos have stock serrated U-notch rear sights and XS tritium dot sights?

    Why 32 h&r?

I actually have one highly specific reason to consider the new .32 H&R Mag J-frame. I've been wanting a gun for distance running, and a J-frame or LCR has some advantages over the other mouse gun options. I would carry it in a fanny pack hydration belt with no reloads (so the sixth round would...

    Member LimaCharlie has passed...

That's unfortunate, remember him from a lot of gun forums over the years. RIP.

Now this is a cool Ruger Mini-14

You know what I'd really like? A Mini-14 gussied up in M1 carbine replica furniture like they did with the 10/22.

What is the most recent knife you bought?

I got two 112s as well LOL. Should have gotten two 110s, but now I'll have a 110/112 set and a 112 for my special pile of nice-ish knives. I like to keep a few knives on hand if I run into someone I like a lot who expresses an interest or a need in having a good knife, an extra premium 112 would...

I saw you post on Bladeforums, I got the same one. It's a very handsome 110!

5 shot revolver enough against 5 robbers

Same answer as last week, five shots is enough except when it isn't.

    Wow, those are unique.

What is the most recent knife you bought?

Don't know why my pictures look broken in my first post. Snagged this Narc from Jerry Hossom. Always wanted one. CPM154 and black Richlite over brass liners.

What is the most recent knife you bought?

Very proud of myself, I made it nearly twelve hours into the New Year without buying a knife, so I rewarded myself with a knife. Jerry Hossom has 'retired' but chosen the path of Working Hard vs. Hardly Working. He has passed his patterns on to his son Alex, but seems to be pumping out nearly...

Handled a new .22cal Colt King Cobra at the LGS yesterday

These have been updated after the first batch and seem to be out in the wild at retail again. Wish I had the cash.
