Im using a normal rifle scope with my 10/22 and its just fine. Im not sure what difference rimfire and normal rifle scopes have but I think it may have something to do with elevation adjustments and focusing to shorter distances....(just a guess) Maybe someone smarter could explain....
I used to sort all my brass in some way till I grew lazy and now theyre all in one bucket waiting to be reloaded and fired. Sorting kinda lost its meaning after I found out it makes no difference if I did it or not.
I used to clean my 22 after every range trip. then I somehow got lazy and havent cleaned( the bore) since.
I think not cleaning it has actually made my groupings smaller. I clean it when it starts to lose accuracy which I think wont happen anytime soon because after last time I cleaned it Ive...
Ive shot almost everything you find in a house....tv screens to gas bottles etc etc.
One time we cut down an old fat pine with a friend of mine using .44 and .357. I was suprised how many rounds it took to make it fall. There must be an easier way to make firewood for winter.....:))
All factory ammo is making a crater like that for me. No matter if its some bulgarian surplus or Lapua. So I think its normal for 7,62x54r to crater a little.
I reload much lighter charges and dont get that with them.
