This is a good thread. I had always been a proponent of the "Boarding House Rules" as mentioned - everybody gets one before anybody gets another (assuming that all threats were equal - distance, type of weapon, etc) This has been a good discussion to make me at least pause and reconsider...

All I can add to this is that I've always gotten good results from CDNN.

...instructors or holders: I've found that Arkansas has a live fire requirement in the safety course to obtain a CHCL - but what I can't nail down is a requirement for minimum number of rounds fired, distances, etc..... can anyone help me out ?

I have had success with CDNN. And, although I've never personally dealt with them, I can't recall reading a bad word about Summit Gun Brokers.

I own 2 XD platforms - .40 Service Model and 9mm Subcompact. Both excellent guns....reliable, accurate, and great ergonomics for me. They run any ammunition I've tried so far.
