I have the CZ 75 SP-01 in 40S&W and it is definitely not for carry! It is very manageable and comfortable shooting though! Mine is the tactical model with the night sights and decocker.
I will probably end up with the P-06 or I may go to the 9x19mm P-01.
Magazines are considered disposable. Even with Pmags I would get 8-10 per black rifle I owned at least. That is not paranoia, it's prudence. Better to have them and not need them than to need them, not have them and try to borrow them from someone who is banging away at the zombie...
Usually when you buy an AR 15 rifle you also get a manual - nowhere in the manual does it say to pour anything down the gas tube. :what:
What's dumb is to do things back-ass-wards like asking if something is ok after you have done it! :o
Next time read the manual, if no manual, ask first...
When talking about tumbling. It should be about terminal ballistics not in flight ballistics. If the bullet tumbles in flight you ain't hitting ****. Just thought I would clarify! Thanks for clearing up the issue on the cannelure. The bovine excrement one hears on the misinformation_net is...
This is an old tired discussion with more heat than light. In true modern day spirit, it's one man's opinion against another, and everyone has an opinion like they have an a__h_le.
1) Mine is a great weapon because I bought it!
2) It is a classic!
3) If it was good enough for .....
4) Its...
I sent a PM to rbernie one of our moderators about an AR tool I helped design. I hope he makes it a sticky.
In the process of posting pictures via photobucket, I learned the process Winston Smith suggested. I will post pictures soon.
DPMS LR .308 TAC 20 (20 inch 1 in 10 twist and has the quad rail with free-floated heavy barrel). Removable carry handle. They run about $1300, they may be cheaper now that prices are coming down. I paid $980 + S&H for mine on Dec. 31st '08. I have 15 of the DPMS .308/7.62X51mm 19 rd...
I have 50 rounds of 1986 TZZ 9X19mm ammo. The bullets (FMJ) have a black tip. Does anyone know what these are. I was told that these were for sub guns. I was in Ft. Bragg when I got them.
I prefer the no rails look. Henning Walgren may have some thinner grips for the Tanfoglio Elite Match. In fact I think he does but I am going to have to save up for them.
I have one of the earlier 18" SPRs as well with an RRA lower with CTR (mil-spec) and MIAD full grip.
I can attach files - pictures in thumb nails but I want to be able to post the large sized pictures as well.
How do you guys post full sized pictures? What is the step by step process...
That looks good. Just ask them if the bolt has been MPIed and if the barrel has been HPTed. No point doing an MPI on a barrel if they have not fired a high pressure round through it.
Has the gas key been properly staked? Is it a FA BCG? Is the chamber a proper 5.56X45 mm chamber or a .223...
They are not "officially" selling to the civilian market. Having said that, there have been parts and uppers here and there that have made mysterious appearances. Nobody I know of has any real information on how these parts are making it out into the public. Maybe someone else here knows...
krs,
It was not my intention to gloat or bragg. I was actually being sympathetic with wojownik. I too have missed opportunities at BCM products. There is a reason why they sell out so quickly, especially among the M16/M4 cognoscenti.
wojownik,
The reason why I pointed out BCM's...
It is a pity you missed out on the much anticipated BCM 20" uppers. I was informed by email which I did not see for over 8 hours and I thought well I screwed up after months of waiting. However, much to my surprise they were still available for a day and a half more.
In the opinion of many...
I remember when Coonan Arms offered a .357 Magnum in a 1911 type platform. I always dreamed of owning one but they went out of business. You can still find them in the used gun market every once in a while but where are you going to find spare parts and magazines which were very wide!
I...
"I want it to be able to stop just about anything in its tracks, animals included".
I recommend the M136 AT4 which fires an 84mm recoiless round - fire once and then drop the "rifle". The U.S. Army is now fielding the M3 Carl Gustav which is reloadable - a better proposition I think. Talk...
