That's not a hoarder, that's a flipper.
Hoarding is a mental disorder. I haz it. I also haz a boatload of ammo. ;)
In my defense I live in Kalifornistan and every year the critters throw a diaper load at the wall to see what sticks. Starting 2018 all our ammo sales will have to go through an...
I use CorrosionX for Guns. I have no idea if it's any different from CorrosionX for reels. I know they make a lighter oil for ball & roller bearings in reels. CorrosionX has kept my saltwater reels rust free for years, seems to stay where ya put it, doesn't seem to gum up. It's slippery, too...
Bulk ammo, yes, but in terms of the round going bang I would be pretty comfortable trusting my life to Mini Mag or Eley primed ammo. I don't recall one ever failing to fire.
Wouldn't be my first choice of caliber but better than throwing rocks. ;) I'm always reminded of that gal in GA that put...
Berry's plated are excellent bullets, HP38 is a popular powder. I didn't have a whole lot of luck with W231 but lots of people like it. I always use Bullseye or Green Dot.
.45ACP is a very forgiving round. I found I got my best accuracy about midrange in the loading data. 1.24" - 1.25" OAL with...
I've been told it has more to do with the hand polishing involved in that deep, oily blue on the old Smiths & Colts. The old timers say the finish would actually vary depending on who was on the buffing wheel that day. The custom guys can reproduce that finish. Bring $$$. Lots & lots of $$$. ;)
No law says ya have to shoot full house Casulls in your Bisley. I load up 250gr bullets with a light .45LC sized charge of BE86 in Casull brass for fun (non brutal ;) ) range fodder. I also have a standard Blackhawk in .44 mag & the Bisley is WAY more comfortable & just feels better in my hand...
Dan Wesson's RZ10 MSRPs at about $500 more than the Ruger. Save ya loads of time & grease. ;)
I live in California so unlikely I shall ever see either. :(
My '80 vintage 15-2 is nowhere near as nice but I can tell that in it's prime the finish would equal anything S&W or Colt ever put out. As for shootability, I own several S&W revolvers & the DW gives away nothing to any of 'em.
I believe (and I might be wrong) that it originally came with magna stocks but I'm pretty sure target stocks would have been available as an option. You can find the correct stocks over on the S&W forum classifieds. Be forewarned... diamond targets OR magnas in good shape carry a hefty price...
