I too have doubts about it's chances in the senate, not likely but possible. What really interests me is how jurisdictions like NYC, CA, DC, etc. would react to this law.

"Your go-to gun" sounds like just one. I'm going to have to go with my S&W Mod 627, 2.5 inch, 8 shot .357. A tad thicker, but really no bigger or heavier than my 1911.
I am 65 and have about 30 guns. I don't hunt as much as I used to and much of my plinking is with my grand kids and other youngins. I am cutting down. I've given and sold guns and will continue until I have just a handfull of handguns and long guns. I think I could live with maybe 10 guns total.
I guess I'm lucky, out of about 15 handguns, only one is questionable and one a total jamo-matic, a Kahr P380, north of $700. Out of about 15 long guns, only one or two are marginable.
