How Do I Use This Thing (FA Brass Tumbler)

I like a little mineral spirits in my walnut media. Keeps it dust free, I can run it topless, and the cases come out with just a little slickness, ready for the press with no further steps.(handgun cases, leave the primer in) Too much liquid of any kind will lock up a dry vibratory cleaner.

    Ruger PCC FTE

I’ve had 1 fail to extract with mine. 4.0 W231 under a 124. No problems with anything else. I suspect more power would’ve helped. The extractor is a stamped part, so they have to change dies often, so every batch is a bit different.

Thoughts on a 9mm Rifle for plinking and range use please

Buying a carbine to use up components is what I did. Found a used Ruger PCC for $500. It takes my tiny G-26 mags or the big sticks. Very satisfied.

    pistol caliber rifles/carbines

Just remember not to use brake cleaner or gun scrubber on those vintage Marlins, it will destroy the plastic of the mag housing/trigger guard.

    But why....

I had a 357 max for a while. (10” Contender) Accuracy with anything in 38 cases was terrible, magnum cases not much better. If you wanted accuracy it had to be in max brass.

Found a new 9mm carbine bullet - the Match Winner.

Sig Romeo5. Not perfect, but reliable and clear. I would prefer the brightness adjustment on the knob instead of the buttons. I like the auto off/on. Be aware there are knockoffs.

When the Power Pistol runs out, I’ll be switching to BE-86.

Found a new 9mm carbine bullet - the Match Winner.

Thanks, but shooting from a rest 99% of that is the gun (Ruger PCC), the bullets and a good red dot. The Ruger is not light and quick handling, but they know how to hammer forge a barrel. I’ve owned quite a few pistol caliber carbines and this is the most accurate one. ETA, sorted brass is a...

Found a new 9mm carbine bullet - the Match Winner.

Maybe a new powder too. Testing out my new RMR MWs against my other practice bullets. Had good results all around, even the plated 147s shot ok today. Shot 3-3 shot groups with each. GFL brass with Tula primers, 4.0 W231 unless noted. Best groups were with the Sinterfire 100 frangible at .8” @...

Anyone have a 9mm Sierra 125 Sports Master HP #8125?

Just needed a length to compare seating depths to the bullets I’m using. Midway still carries the 9mm 125 Sports Master and have added the 124 V crown. They sure are proud of the Sports Master according to their price.

    Is it really “OCD”??

I dry tumble handgun brass and left the dust on, never a problem. Then I started de-dusting them in a moist bath towel, not fun at the press, my arthritis flared up immediately. Now I de-dust and lube all handgun brass with One Shot, better than ever.

What have you done in the reloading room today

Got my 9mm RMR 124 MWs in, packaging was fine. Bullets mic’ .3551” and seem to be very round. Lubed the BL 550, made a couple dummy rounds to test plunkability in my PCC, reduced the crimp a bit (back to zero measurable crimp) Loaded 9mm Luger with GFL brass, Tula primers (not my favorite, but I...
