    Aftermarket glock mags

Back 15 years ago when I got my G19, I got a bunch of KCI-s. Weak springs. Once those were replaced, they were OK. But not enough cheaper than OEM. No idea what they're like now.

    Aftermarket glock mags

Don't forget Magpul. Mecgar is also making Glock mags now (not the 33 rounders).

1911 cheap mag question: "FBI mags"

I'm suspicious of what "original equipment" means in context. All sorts of places make 1911s.

    Snubby Reloads

I keep the morning reload on a 8 shot Tuffstrip. That's strictly for loading the gun in the morning. Otherwise, Safariland Comp whatever-it-is, 2 in a back pocket.

    Zastava Revolvers?

That's what they say about the old Spanish knockoff revolvers.

90s era single-stack .45s, which would you choose?

I'd probably go with the Colt. Have a P90. Utilitarian. "Meh". I still think something about finding a modern holster for it. Shot a SIG like that once. Felt like shooting the Ruger. No experience with the Smith.

    Classic is Classic! 19-4 Snub-by + Nickel

Cool! I have a 4" 19-4, factory nickle. Bought used a quarter century ago. Shoots very well.

    Xds mod2 45 or Glock 23 gen 5…NOT a caliber argument

Don't have quite the combination. I have an XDS45 "gen 1" (the first release). I have a 4th gen Glock 27 (now converted to 9mm but I have shot .40 through it). My perception, my 2 Cu oz. is, "pick one". I'd probably go with the Glock for parts and aftermarket support reasons. They both...

    Revolver, and appendix carry.

I carry a 3" Taurus 856 AIWB. It's quite doable. 3" barrel is not a problem at all.

Bought an RIA 1911: Any helpful tips?

Find a YooToob video on disassembly. Run through it. Ha ha. No. Maybe get a bushing wrench. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Wise. The Rock Island is pretty much "bog standard". I have one. It's fine. GI sights suck, compared to modern sights.

    Milsurp And C&R EDC

Magazines, so I read, is the bottleneck for their current usefulness. As in, very hard to find. I have one, from a relative's estate. Nice gun, needs some gunsmithing attention. (The ambi magazine release is funky-complicated, and not working well.) And one magazine. I will never carry that.

    Milsurp And C&R EDC

Back in the day, low twenty-oughts, the surplus places were advertising Bulgarian Maks for, IIRC, $129. FEG PA-63 for $99.

    Milsurp And C&R EDC

4 have gone through my hands. Only have a Russian commercial Baikal .380 now. I don't, honestly, have any real good use for it.

Anyone Interested in a Remake of a 1980's Classic Bren Ten pistol?

There's lots of 10mm-s around now. Tanfoglios are being imported again, for those that want the CZ75 action. Or check Gunborker for a 10mm EAA Witness.

    Milsurp And C&R EDC

Makarov, if they can be found. They're not the great bargain they once were. (You might be better off with a Bersa .380).

    Altamont Roper grips

It's not uncommon to have to shave down a grip to clear speedloaders. I use sandpaper and emory cloth. Go slow, test frequently, it should be fine. Altamonts are some kind of wood laminate. I've had to modify a couple different sets. It looks fine when done.

    Your Taurus EDC Revolver-?

Usual carry is my .38 Defender. Back in in October of last year, a guy got shot on this block. 14 shots through the window. We heard it happen. "At this time, it is believed this incident was not a random act of violence and this is a fluid and active investigation. The MyLittleCity Police...

what the heck is a .44-.40?

1880s equivalent of .40 S&W. Nothing to be sneered at.

Thoughts on Bersa Thunder Pro in .40 (nickel)?

It's been a while. I think, firing pin, firing pin block. And I shipped it in to a service center, for hammer follow.

    I love REVOLVERS-!

Taurus. "Affordability". Availability (Local gun monger occasionally has non-stupid prices on used stuff.) Currently mostly carrying one or another 856, for the extra round over a more typical 5 round snub. Continue to keep the LCRx .38 around because it's smaller and lighter, and the design...
