Anyone Modified a Chipmunk or Cricket for Survival?

IDK the notches are not sharp enough or not deep enough. The whole rig has been sitting in the safe since I first tested. I'll try the fix recommended by the manufacturer and see what happens Trying to decide if it's worth the $100 to change the chassis. The 10/22 chassis I'm looking at is...

Anyone Modified a Chipmunk or Cricket for Survival?

I bought one of the wire stock rifles. The screw holding the rifle to the chassis was loose as a goose. Oh and the stock collapses with every. Single. Shot. I haven't worked on a fix yet. Email to the company suggests maybe I dremel the notches but they don't really have a fix either. I should...

What matters more? Training or The Gun?

This. Or, largely this, anyway. That said, a shovel is better tool for digging holes than a spoon. And an excavator is better than a shovel. Then understand that an excavator might be too big for the job at hand... Point is, the better the tool for the job, the more productive you can be.

    Most don't train

It's true most don't train. That's not good. Too many people think "I've been trained" so they have that box checked in their mind. We need to train as a regular, proactive, thought process. We all know that shooting is a perishable skill. I have to say, as an instructor, the community isn't...

I spotted another rock that wasn't quite right while feeding cows today. Got back to the ranch and headed out to see. Sure enough, another coyote. He was a ways out but first shot put him down. I'm guessing 250-300yards.

    Cold weather handguns.

If I'm in those kinds of temps, I'm either going to be dealing with 1. Winter coat predators 2. Bad guys wearing as many layers of clothes as I am So that has me leaning towards magnum revolver cartridges... Thus revolver

Dropped another coyote this morning. Was out feeding cattle and of in the distance (600+ yards) I saw a rock that didn't belong. Got the binoculars on it and confirmed it was a coyote. Figured he'd be there for a minute so when we got back to the ranch, I went looking. Long story short, I...

I've been seeing coyotes on the ranch lately. I took note of times and most likely routes. This evening I went out and posted up behind a dirt mound. Long story short, I had the right trail but I was looking the wrong direction haha. When I became aware of the pair of coyotes behind me, I...

I've been wearing it around the ranch the last week or so. Retention is better than I expected. That spring idea is pretty good. The bottom of the holster houses a good bit of the muzzle and that helps too, I think. I haven't taken a jog or anything but I've been loading hay, and feeding...
