    Shipping handgun FROM Nevada?

I think you are partially correct in your assumptions. I know that one does not have to ship a gun from an FFL in Nevada. Any gun owner can ship their gun themselves to an FFL holder or the manufacturer. I suspect, but am not sure, that in your case, even though you have an FFL, a gun...

    AR-10 gunsmith?

Let's assume you are right! Obvious things to check: 1. Screws on bottom of Gas Block are tight 2. Gas Block is properly aligned with barrel 3. Gas Key on Bolt Carrier is tight 4. Replace the McFarland gas ring with a new one - these wear out 5. Lube with lots of CLP HTH

It increases tension on the extractor and helps maintain control of the spent cartridge case during extraction and ejection.

    AR-10 gunsmith?

The rifle is short-stroking. Accordingly, it exhibits all manner of feeding and extraction problems. [It may or may not be short stroking. Let's investigate a little further before we go down that road. Are you experiencing primarily the "classic" round over jam? This malfunction presents...

    Bushmaster .308 Rifles

The BAR-10 uses unmodified FAL mags - inch or metric. Thermold FAL mags will not work because of a molded-in ridge around the mag which interferes with insertion into the BAR-10 mag well. Bushmaster has found some problems with older Israeli mags (weak springs). I have used metric steel...

    Bushmaster .308 Rifles

Both 16" and 20" barrels are straight 0.740" profile. There will be some velocity drop from the 16" barrel compared to the 20" barrel. I beleive, however, that the .308 round is much less velocity sensitive for effective terminal ballistics than the .223 round.

    Shopping scoutscopes: Leupold or Burris?

Both the Burris and the Leupold are fine scopes. The are more similar than they are different, however, there is one very big difference. The Burris scope has an adjustable ocular lens (eyepiece), te Leupold does NOT! With my eyes, it was impossible for me to focus on the Leupold reticle...

    Range Report, Bushmaster Bar 10

Feedthehogs, Thanks for the range report! I have about 1,000 rounds through my BAR-10 so far with no malfunctions and excellent accuracy. The more I shoot this gun, the more I like it. I have found the Izzy muzzle brake controls recoil very well. I agree the .308 recoil in a gas gun...
