Help me decide on a .45 ACP revolver

Whatever you decide don't make it an S&W 625JM. I bought one about 9 years ago. Biggest piece of junk I ever owned. First problem was the trigger pull was terrible. The trigger pull guage showed it at 5-6# double action. I bought a set of Wolf springs, which brought it down to about 3#. However...

    Cowboy Action

Depends on how much you want to spend. You need two pistols, a shotgun, and a rifle. You cannot use one pistol and reload under the clock. I started out cheap until I was sure I wanted to keep doing it. I got 2 Uberti Hombre .357 pistols, a 45 Colt Rossi rifle, and a 12 gauge Stoeger SxS. My...

    Hornady LNL Primer Feed

Mine started to not go back far enough to load a primer also. Wrapped a few layers of electrical tape on the rod and the problem was solved.

Hi Point 9mm carbine and lead

Titegroup is a very fast burning and hot burning pistol powder. My guess is that you are doing some melting on the lead bullet as it goes down that long barrel. I shoot lead in a High Point 9mm using WST, and have no leading issues. My guess would be it's your powder choice. Good for...

Lead round nose in 45 ACP

I use to have that problem with lead also. I started running them through a Lee factory crimp die and the problem went away.

    Need Shotgun Reloading advice.

I have a 600 JR, 650 Sizemaster, and even a 9000G once. They are a good brand of press. The #28 bushing, Winchester Super Target powder, and 1 1/8 ounce of shot in either Winchester AA hulls or Remington STP hulls will give you a nice trap load at about 1200 ft/sec. I have used that load for years.

Trail Boss in 44 Magnum - Sooty case problem

I use 8.0 grains of Trail Boss under a 240 grain LSWC as my plinking load. Shoots great for me out to 50 yards.

    WST

I too had WST left over from my sporting clay days. I use it in 38 special, 9mm Luger, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP. I like it better than Bullseye & Unique, and it costs less at least in my neck of the woods.

    advice please

The .311 bullets will work just fine. I shoot them in all of my Mosins. One thing to keep in mind is that some brands of dies for the 7.62X54R only supply a .308 neck expander and loading data for .308 bullets. It has something to do with some Mosins that were made with .308 diameter bores. If...

Advice on .303 British Neck Sizing

MissouriCrowinMass, you actually already have a perfect neck sizing die in hand for the 303 British. The 7.62X54R die with a .311 expander works great as a neck sizing die for my 303, and my 7.7 Japanese. The Russian case is wide and short compared to the 303 & 7.7 therefore they slide into the...
