    Satern powder funnels

These seem to be rated well on Midway. I've been using plastic funnels, and am not completely happy. Is anyone using these, and willing to give a report? Which size are you using for .357/.38? Thanks.

Lee Auto Disk powder measure issue

My Lee auto disk has developed an annoying foible. When I raise up the case into the expanding/charging die, the powder flows in fine. However, I have to hold my hand on the top of the hopper and press down in order for the system to fully reset. If I don't, the disk/hopper doesn't go all the...

    Need Taurus 605 sideplate screw.

Does anyone have a sidelplate screw for a Taurus 605, .357? I've tried everywhere to no avail. The two back screws are smaller than the front, that secures the crane. It's the front one I need. Numrich doesn't note any difference when you order from them. Thanks. Of course, I'll pay. Jeff

Do you clean pistol primer pockets?

Some of us do, some don't. I'm curious to see who out there is as obsessed as me, cleaning out each of my pockets with wire cable.

    Lee scale question

Forgive my ignorance. On the base/bottom of my Lee balance scale, on the left hand side, is a small metal tab. It's, say, no more than 1/16", and sticks out from the base. Should this be there? Should it sit upon the top of my bench, or should I place it in a hole for stability? I...

Request for reviews from Model 25 S&W .45 Colt owners

As part of my research into my next purchase (a .45 colt revolver), I'm considering the S&W Classic Model 25. It would have to be an ordered gun, as no gun shops around here have one---so, I can't handle one, just look at the S&W website and read online reviews. Do any of you guys have one...

Share your 230 gr LRN .45 recipies?

Guys, I'm experimenting with the best combination for my M&P .45 full size, using the 230 gr LRN Hornady bullet. I've put together various different powders (clays univ, bullseye, etc) and different loads, but would like to ask the experts around here. Has anyone got a favorite load for this...

Help me decide on a S&W

Alright, folks, I've got the itch again, the one that can only be cured by a Smith and Wesson wheelgun. I have narrowed it down to two "new to me" pistols: -.44 Special S&W Airweight, 5 shot, nickel. -.32 S&W Long, hand eject, 6 shot, blued. The .44 is near new, the .32 is vintage, but...

Request for load info, 200gr RN .45ACP

I've got 300 200 grain Rainer FMJ .45 ACP rounds I need to load up. On hand, I've got some H110, Unique, and (lots of) Bullseye. Lots of load information on the 230 grain Rainer plated bullets, but not so much the 200 grain. Has anyone worked up a solid load for .45, 200 grain plated...

    Stupid Weather!

I've been putting together loads all week for my new airweight S&W 38. However, we've got about three inches of snow on the ground, with twelve forecast! My range is closed on Sundays now----maybe I can squeeze in an hour after work Monday......

    Thanks to the 'old codgers'.

I've been gradually breaking ground into handloading over the past six months. Bought three books, read tons of stuff online and in magazines, and doing loads of research in general. Hanging around the reloading section of one of the local big box stores, I've met several fellows who have many...

Used handgun at Gander Mountain report

This afternoon I saw a Smith and Wesson M&P .45, used, on display at Gander Mountain here in Knoxville. I am one of the folks that likes M&P, and the price seemed really good, so I asked my buddy behind the counter if I could have a look. I've bought handguns (3) from them before, with nothing...

    Range Report, Marlin 1895G, .45-70

Finally got the funds together, and bought a new Marlin model 1895G lever action, in the awe inspiring :) .45-70 Government. After a wallet lifting trip to Gander Mountain for ammo, I went to the range with a box of 325 grain Hornady Lever "revolution" in stow. First impressions: I like the...
