Opinions, Thoughts, Comments on EDC Glock 30

Correction: That Bianchi Professional 100 IWB is a size 10A, not a 12, in case anybody is looking for leather for the G 30

Opinions, Thoughts, Comments on EDC Glock 30

The 30 is the best carry gun so far for me. Bianchi Professional model 100 IWB (size 12 I think?) works great. I like leather better than kydex. I'm a small framed guy and conceal that joker in shorts & a tshirt no problem.

    Shooting .380 ACP in a 9mm pistol

I'm curious to hear if anyone has firsthand experience with .380 in a 9. I watched a guy run a whole mag of 9 through his 40 cal Glock last month. It fired every time but would not completely eject. Wasn't very accurate either.

    kimber solo advice

Correct, Dog, they do "recomend" heavier, premium ammo. But, don't be hesitant about putting the cheap 115 grain FMJ through your Solo. It'll save you some coin at the range, and give you a new respect for your pistol.

    kimber solo advice

The Solo is a great shooting compact 9mm pistol (not a .380). My wife's CDP shoots everything we put through it. 115, 124, 135 or 147 grain. FMJ OR JHP. It is not picky about ammo brands either. I've shot a handful of similar sized 9mm pistols and NONE shoot as sweet as that Solo. If I...

    G 30 ammo

Thanks ya'll. I put 5 different kinds of ammo through it with no issues. It was just stuff I had on hand (Double Tap, HydraShock, Golden Sabre, UMC, and some Winchester JHP) and all cycled fine. Good to know I can buy most any range ammo with this gun and be fine.

    G 30 ammo

Just got a new gen 4 Glock 30 My last .45 (Springfield XDs) was a little particular about ammo. It didn't like anything made by Winchester, or Federal Hydrashocks. Question is: are there any brands to stay away from with a G 30? Mainly talking about FMJ target loads. I'll thoroughly test...

    Glock 30 - gen 3 or 4?

    Thanks ya'll. I went with the gen 4 G30

    Glock 30 - gen 3 or 4?

I'm looking at either a used gen 3 or a new gen 4. $165 difference. I know about the double recoil spring on the gen 4. Also like the light rail on the gen 4. Question is: Does one have more or less problems than the other? Or are they both very reliable? Thanks in advance!

    Best sub $2,000 O/U?

A Ruger Red Label would be my choice. No fancy engraving & built like a tank as all Rugers are. You could pick one up below your budget and have well over $500 left to put toward range fees and club membership.

    Big bore lever guns

What options are out there for a lever gun with more ft lbs and same, if not bigger, caliber than the .45-70? .450 Marlin is at the top of the list right now.

Anybody kill a deer with Remington Bronze Points...???...

Yep. Morning after opening day this year. My first one. Remington Premier Accu Tip 165 gr ballistic tip in .308. Shot a doe through the shoulder as she was quartering toward me. Recovered a perfectly mushroomed slug just inside the hide on the other side.

    Good price for .22

I'd probably try to talk him down to the low $200's and end up paying whatever price he came back with, even if it was $300.

    Bullet Sparks

I've had that happen with TulAmmo in .45 ACP at an indoor range.

    20ga Baikal "Remington" SxS

It's an SPR210, right? My wife shoots one every Saturday. She's the only one on the skeet field with a side-by-side. She loves it (ever since we put a Limb-Saver on it) Have fun with it!
