    Put a revolver on layaway

Gotcha. If you decide to look around again, let me know and I can maybe point you to a few other places to look. Some may have a little better prices, though Hyatts will usually have more inventory.

Do I have a round butt or square butt?

I really like these Spegels on my 642. I bought them new and they weren't anywhere near $120.

you may not get criminal charges, but you can be pretty sure that you will get hit with a civil case.

    Beating the S&W Lock

Could be. And when they make a lightweight revolver suitable for pocket carry they will become a consideration. I like and respect the SP101, but lightweight it is not.

Browning Hi Power vs Beretta M9

Both are excellent firearms, but I'l take the Beretta as it doesn't cut a hole in my hand when I shoot it.

    GP100 Fixed Sight 4"

Saw a Ruger GP100 4" Blue with fixed sights in a shop. Is this something new from Ruger? I have never seen a GP100 with fixed sights except in the three inch. This was particularly tempting.

    Smith vs Taurus

Our shop send 5-6 revolvers a month back to Taurus for various problems. Most troublesome are those that I would consider "high-performance", such as the light weight guns, the super hard recoil guns and the new designs. They tend to fare better in the very basic designs such as plain jane...

And the Latest and Greatest is...

You don't want the .32 Magnum Magnum? Is it just a lengthened .32 Magnum, or is it actually a different sized projectile? If it's all new, maybe we can get the .33 Special as a sub load?

And the Latest and Greatest is...

Maybe Ruger will be introducing a new "lightweight defensive revolver" to go with it? I like the SP-101, but by comparison with others in it's class it is hardly lightweight.

    Walther P99 .40 Question

I have an opportunity to pick up a Walther P99 in .40 for about $375. Gun is in great shape and is a pre-S&W gun. It has Carl Walther LLC listed as importer on the slide. Slide has German import marks at rear on side, and it has two ten round mags. Still has German test target in the box...
