    20ga Over/Under Input

I was about to make this recommendation. My personal 12 ga O/U is a Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon II, but I can't justify another nearly $3k for a matching 20 ga. My son has a Yildiz 12 ga, and to me it balances and swings better than a Citori. When I finally add a 20 ga O/U to the stable, it's...

Have you fired a .44mag that made you giggle like an idiot?

I do get some pleasure every time I squeeze the trigger on my 7.5" SBH (I actually like heavy recoil in non-EDC handguns) but only two firearms ever made me actually giggle. One time at the range a fellow two lanes over was squeezing off bursts from his M11/9. When we talked to him, he asked...

    Squirrel & rabbit cooking Recipes

I can't actually claim credit for this one; it came from a Marlin Firearms ad in Guns in Ammo magazine (April 1981 issue). It looked great the first time I read it and we have prepared this a few times. It's a winner. Sour Cream Rabbit with Herbs Ingredients: · Rabbit, cut up. ·...

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Why yes I have. Just today I ordered a Rossi R92 tuneup video from stevesgunz, a ball head gunsmithing vise, some R92 extractor springs, and stainless magazine followers for my recently purchased R95 .357 and .44 carbines

    Brass to consumables ratio?

You can get the .223 from River Valley Ordnance Works (http://www.rvow.com/server/index.php/brass) at $125/1000 cleaned, deprimed and full-length sized. Not sure where to buy 9mm right now. I usually just fill up my range bag when I go to the local indoor range. :)

Cheapest way to get into Full Auto

When the FOPA was passed with the Hughes Amendment, the manufacturer went into around the clock production until the effective date. I read in some firearms publication back in '86-'87 or so that more FA weapons were manufactured for civilian ownership in those six months than in the 52 years...

Your Issued Firearm (Military and LE)

    1) Rifle: M16A1, M60, M16A2, M4; Sidearm: M9 2) M4 was by choice (insistence) when the armorer tried to issue me an A2. I love the M9 (when not previously abused), which is why I bought my 92FS. I would have preferred better ammo for the M9, but of course that wasn't an option for the issue...

Would Incorporation effect the Lautenberg Amendment?

Reckless driving is a misdemeanor...irrelevant to the discussion.

    Mossberg 590 (info)

I can only guess, but since you asked why I think that is: 1) I believe the wads do make a tighter seal for the wad/slug traveling down the barrel. 2) The 20" 590 is a bit heavier, but not overly so, helping reduce some of the felt recoil. 3) I have wondered (though not seriously enough...

Should I fear losing my guns from a involuntary commitment?

Instructions for 11c from ATF Form 4473: Committed to a Mental Institution: A formal commitment of a person to a mental institution by a court, board, commission, or other lawful authority. The term includes a commitment to a mental institution involuntarily. The term includes commitment...

Would Incorporation effect the Lautenberg Amendment?

The restraining order must have been issued by a judge at a hearing of which you were notified and in which you had the opportunity to participate. It's still weak, and Lautenberg needs to be repealed, but it is due process under the law.

NRA reports M14's can't be destroyed

And this fight will start anew with next year's appropriations bill. The goal should be stand-alone legislation to prohibit destruction, but the odds are long with the current Legislative/Executive branches.

can you buy a SBR upper for a ar without an class 3?

That is the exact caliber marking on the last two lowers my son bought from Spike's Tactical. I can see them requiring the barrel lengths specified though. Any idea whether they would accept a range, say 7.5" - 14.5" for the barrel length as opposed to listing each available length in the range?

    Mossberg 590 (info)

I have the exact same one. It takes either the M9 bayonet or the M7 bayonet from the M16A1 (I've got one of each). I love mine. It shoots a lot softer with slugs than my fully rifled 870.

can you buy a SBR upper for a ar without an class 3?

Well, I just looked at the instructions on the ATF Form 1. It states: Serial Numbers and other Markings. If an existing firearm is being modified into an NFA firearm, enter the existing serial number of that firearm into item 4g and the name and address of the original manufacturer into...

can you buy a SBR upper for a ar without an class 3?

OK, maybe I'm missing something. I've heard (though I've never seen a cite from an authoritative source) that a SBR must receive additional marking. Reading the material from ATFE thoughtfully provided by SAM1911 in post #18 above, I see nothing to support that. When I fill out my Form 1...
