Unless the XD has improved their trigger reset since the last time I tried one, I'd have to stick with Glock which has one of the better resets out there.
Don't know about best, but I know the most satisfying.
My dad and I went deer hunting sometime ago. He rolled his eyes bigtime when I pulled out my scoped Super Redhawk. He has never been a fan of handguns. Well, we came up dry as far as live game. He asked if I want to shoot his .308 Sako...
Let's see: 16 in the G20, + 17, + 17 = 50.
More for balancing the belt than having extra mags/rounds on hand though. Just having a pistol on my belt seems to fatigue me more than having something to balance the load, even though it means more total weight.
I have one, but I mostly shoot it's frame decocker brother the 1026. It is tank tough and tank heavy as well. But this does help tame the recoil of the stiffest handloads and the nice long sight radius makes it easy to shoot accurately. Little loose in the fit, but this does not seem to effect...
and if you send it to Smith and they realize that people are still shooting their 10mms, maybe they'll bring back the 10xx series.
I think I'll go buy that Powerball ticket now. Better odds than the above happening.:(
Speaking of the trigger, how is the XD45's reset? The Glock trigger reset is one of the better ones out there. I noticed shooting the XD 9mm some years ago that it was on the long side. A short reset is high on my list for desirable pistol traits.
