CCW allowed in some National Parks...

Me too. My chin is on the floor. I really can't believe this is true. I've been waiting almost 20 years! This ruling more than makes up for the election for me, although I can't say I care that much about the election because both candidates stunk. I pretty much never drink alcohol, but I'm...

NPS will likely not change rule, Congress may do it for them

On the eve of the election, I just wanted to note, as I said back in Feb when no one believed me, that NPS would be able to stall until after the election, and then bury this. Well here we are. NPS wins.

NPS will likely not change rule, Congress may do it for them

http://www.cqpolitics.com/wmspage.cfm?parm1=1&docID=cqmidday-000002948759 It seems pretty obvious to me that NPS will never change the no firearms in national parks regulation, since nothing can force them to and the lady running the show is rabidly anti, so this legislation going through...

I don't think they have to.

Interesting article about National Park CCW

Huh? It is the president's (executive branch's) agency. He can fire the head of the agency at will. Why can't the president tell them to do whatever he wants?

Interesting article about National Park CCW

From a supposed anti: http://www.flatheadbeacon.com/articles/article/dont_waste_energy_on_concealed_guns_in_national_parks/5698/ Personally, I think NPS has won, as it's almost election time, and afterwards they'll be able to just shelve the whole thing with no repercussions. I wish...

Comment period for NPS proposed rules extended to 7/30.

Once again we have a tyrannical brit attempting to deny us our inalienable rights. Someone might want to fax her a copy of the Declaration of Independence and point out that her side lost that war.

Comment period for NPS proposed rules extended to 7/30.

It's reopened and can have comments posted online again. End of comment period is August 8. They really are going to push this past the election. When BO wins, the reg changes will disappear. Oh well, I waited 15 years. I guess I'll just never see any of the National Parks.

Comment period for NPS proposed rules extended to 7/30.

They were also waiting, and hoping for a bad Heller decision. If Heller had gone the other way, they would have dropped the reg changes and given us the finger. I certainly expect the executive branch to step in at this point and tell that lady to either make the change or step down. NRA...

Comment period for NPS proposed rules extended to 7/30.

Don't count on those new regs ever being passed. If you do some research into the background of the people running the NPS, especially the woman heading the place, you'll find they are weird evil people who have their own weird evil agenda. They will do anything to keep this from happening...

They're doing everything within their power to obstruct this. Can't the administration just order them to stop the BS?

New Jersey Committee Taking Up Gun Ban Legislation

Standard anti technique. Propose outlandish things in the bill, then remove them and say there was compromise. It *will* pass as a .50 ban. I escaped from the armpit, I remember the stench. :barf:
