    Technical help needed, S&W 65-1

Trigger and hammer are hard chrome and are factory on the early S&W stainless guns. For the year we need the 3 letter code in front of the SN. Problems #2 and 3 sound like a bent ejector rod, when you rotate does the end appear to wobble? If it is bent it is not a difficult or expensive repair...

    M16 magazines

Feel lip spreading and crack development are usually due to mags being kept loaded for extended periods of time or being dropped on the feed lips not use. Most peacetime mags do not spend that much time loaded with the exception of mags used for guarding extra sensitive areas such as Nato (Nuke...

ACOG TA11C or TA33R-9 need help...

FWIW I run the TA33R-9 on an M14 and it works great on a standard scope mount. I agree with the above posts that with it's light weight and cost it is the way to go and that eye relief is understated by the mfg. m.

    Curious about Assault Rifles.

Excuse me, but those are howitzer's not guns, although since they started putting longer tubes on them with the M109A1's the line has blurred. The last gun (other than on tanks) was the the M107 175mm which is now out of service, superseced by the M110A3 8" howitzer. And they are called...

$20 Walmart gun case for long term AR15 storage?

Don't use a vinyl case, it can't breath and mositure will condense on the inside, for long term get a canvas or cloth case.

Corrosive Ammo In The Heat of Battle?

Little can of bore cleaner made to fit in one of the pockets of the Springfield/Garand ammo belt. Excellant for killing the corrisive salts but you want to talk about smelly, I can think of nothing on the market today that compares. I often wondered if any GI's cleaning their rifles at night...

    Submachine guns are underrated

Excuse me, loaded Colt 9mm 32 rd mags weigh considerably more than 30 rd 5.56 mags do. Steel vs alum and bullet weight make the difference, you have to remember that the 9mm bullets weight twice as much or more than 5.56. Mack
