    Best .22 for woods/hiking

I like the Buckmark Camper. I've put over 1000 rounds of various kinds of ammo through it with only 2 failures I think. That's pretty good reliability for any gun, in my opinion.

    Rimfire scope moving

Thanks guys. A lot of good suggestions here. Just to be clear, it's not the scope that's moving in the rings, it's the rings on the reciever. I'll try a few things and see how they work out.

    Rimfire scope moving

Well I tried using alcohol to clean everything that makes contact. And I am using a quarter to tighten it as much as I can. I don't want to try any harder or I am afraid I will strip it. Of course I can't tell if it works till I next go to the range. I guess I'll try serrating the mount...

    Rimfire scope moving

The cheap bushnell scope I am using on my Marlin model 60 is moving when I shoot. No matter how hard I tighten the knobs it it always moves. A few hundred rounds will move it back an inch. This is quite annoying because it also messes up the zero. Has anyone fixed this problem through any other...

Places around UC Davis to get into guns?

I am just a college freshmen here, no car, no guns, just a bicycle. I turn 19 in October. I suppose what I was looking for would really be a university team or something, a "no experience required" type of thing. (My only experience is shooting handguns and carbines at "Beretta Day" in NJ)...

Places around UC Davis to get into guns?

I have searched the UC Davis website, this site, and google for any information about opportunities to get into guns and shooting, but have found nothing. I apologize if I am posting in the wrong place or this has already been covered, but does anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks much.

    Carryable fixed blade

The Spyderco Perrin is a very good choice. You may be able to get a good price on one now, or you may not be able to find one at all I don't know, but I can assure you that it is a very nice knife, very light, good handle, and it cuts very well. If you want to carry it IWB you will need to get a...

Do you carry a sheeple-friendly knife?

I carry a Benchmade 921. It seems kind of sheepleific where I live, and I'm not sure people could take the large blade (3.3"), so discretion is requred, but that's what the small blade (2") is for. With a blade that small people don't even seem to notice it's there. I've even used the blade on...

Guns don't kill people....Well, actually, yes, they do

That's one of the wierdest looking thing's I have ever seen. It kind of looks like it's attached to his index finger.

Do you carry a sheeple-friendly knife?

I carry a Benchmade 921. The 3.3 inch blade should be pretty friendly, but if even more sheeple-friendliness is needed, it has the tiny little secondary blade. Works great for me.

    CRKT Crawford Kasper

Spyderco Sharpmaker all the way. With a little practice you will be able to put a shaving edge on all your knives with ease. I highly reccomend it. Every knife knut needs one.

No, mine's not a special blade or steel, it was a standard production model, before Benchmade discontinued it, the 43Blk. I guess at the factory they just stamped the wrong number on it. I carry mine mostly in a custom sheath from Gary Graley , sometimes in the Benchmade Sheath, and sometimes...

    Cold Steel, Benchmade or Spyderco??

There a lot of Benchmades and Spydercos to look in that price range. I own several Benchmades, only 2 Spydercos, a Spyderfly and a Fred Perrin. The Fred Perrin is a great fixed blade, and I would totally reccomend it. However in the folder department, based on what I've seen I would...

Anyone have a Spyderco Spyderfly yet?

I got mine. You won't be dissapointed, trust me. If this is your first balisong you should learn to flip it. www.balisongxtreme.com is a good site to learn from. I did.
