Mossberg Shockwave Pistol - Best Usage ?

Well I have one and its intended use for me will be home defense. I also decked it out with a laser and a 1000 lumen light and loaded with 5 rounds of #4 buck in the tube. Besides I just wanted one! ;-)

    Mossberg Shockwave

it's not an AOW because it's overall length is over 26 inches. if you change the grip to a pistol grip and it's length is then less than 26 inches it then becomes an AOW and subject to the $5 tax stamp, if you put a stock on it then you have a SBS and pay the $200 tax/fee and get to fill out...

    Defensive Ammunition 101

I keep my HD shotgun loaded with #4 Buck either standard 21-27 pellet variety or the Fed 2 3/4 Magnum 34 pellet variety I think at most home defense distances it will perform admirably. If it's good enough for the FBI it's good enough for me. :) Besides I live in a condo and I don't want a load...

Have you ever broken a Ruger handgun?

I broke the firing pin on one of my Ruger MkII's a few years back....... after only firing around 100k rounds through it! Yeah I used to shoot a lot of 22 ammo! What a piece of junk! :D LMAO! replaced the pin and should now be good for another 200k. that is if I could find that much 22LR ammo!! :(

Ruger LCR in 327 Fed Mag just announced

Finally!!!!! I've been asking Ruger to produce this revolver ever since they came out with the SP101 in 327 Mag! I was beginning to lose hope! I have the SP101 but have always wanted something smaller and lighter than the SP for concealed carry, and didn't care too much for the Taurus 327...

    Popularity of the .380...

LMAO!!!!! :D On a more serious note, no collection can be complete without at lease one 380! I have several 380's, my favorite and the one gun that's ALWAYS with me is my Ruger LCP, never leave home without it! the others are a Bersa Thunder 380 Plus, a Beretta 84, a Colt Government model...

    single stack 9s

I've heard many say that about the original LC9's trigger pull, however for me I grew up shooting DA/SA revolvers and the LC9 was like going back to the good ole days. It's been said if you can master the DA revolver you'll be able to adapt to any action. In my experience this has proven to be...

    single stack 9s

I liked the LC9 so much I have two the original LC9 and a LC9s Pro. I also like my SIG p239 and my S&W 39-2 and my 6906 though not a SS it's not that much bigger than the 3913 and I get 13 rounds of 9mm too. If I were to pick up another SS 9 it will be a Shield.

    Pulled gun for defense

Eight times in total, never had to pull the trigger though....... Usually just the sight of the handgun had an adverse effect on the bad guys courage levels :what:  leading to elbows and buttholes as the only targets left to shoot at!:D

    Favorite 9mm handgun

West German SIG P228 or the S&W 6906. But it's like a potato chip it's difficult to have only one!

Where is Glocks single stack 9mm

If you really want a 9mm striker fired about the same size as the G42 you may want to consider the Ruger LC9S Pro. Glock really missed the boat with the G42, the big 380 boom came and went, now it seems that everyone wants small compact 9's like the Ruger LC9 and the Kahr PM/CM9.

Those that carry 1911s, two questions

I have three 1911's that I carry (not at the same time though, my pants would fall down!) :-) I have a Colt Combat Elite 5", A Ruger 1911 Commander, and a Kimber Ultra Carry II. All with Ambi safeties as I'm a southpaw. All my 1911's are carried in Don Hume's H715M IWB with a thumb break.

    1911 compact 3" barrels

I agree there can be issues with any gun. & I've seen 1911's behave badly as I have seen SIG's, Colt's, Beretta's, S&W's and yes even the vaunted Glock 's have had malfunctions. They're just like any machine, sometimes they mess up and need repair. But just because it's malfunctioned doesn't...

    1911 compact 3" barrels

I have 45's in several different platforms in the 1911 I have a full size Colt Combat Elite, a Ruger Commander, and a Kimber Ultra Carry II in addition I own a SIG P220, P227, and a P245, lastly a Ruger SR-45. The Kimber has been 100% reliable from day one with several hundred rounds through...

    FBI looking at 9x19mm sidearms

Here's a better idea specify a caliber or caliber range say (9mm, 49 S&W, 45 ACP) When employed by the "Agency" Local, State, Federal etc. the agency will supply ammunition of said caliber for training and duty. The Agent is responsible for supplying their own Pistols and Magazines, Holsters and...

"The Best Single Stack 9" ?

I'd say any 3rd gen S&W, SIG 239, & P225/P6 & my LC9. The LC9 is not for everyone but I grew up shooting DA/SA revolvers so the LC9's trigger is like coming home for me.:D
