Are all Lee pro 1000's this difficult to deal with, or is it just mine?

In addition to the info already posted in this thread, I found this guys videos helpful in figuring out my pro1000 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vamA6qrMFwE As others have posted, I get the best results when I get into a rhythm with it, but there are some times when I think the thing is...

    Classic Lever-Action Rifle

My Marlin 1894 .357 is a great gun. Just a fun gun to shoot. There are very few rifle ranges in my area. Most pistol ranges will let you shoot pistol caliber carbines though. Which may or may not be a factor for you.

    My new SR9c is...

After a few hundred rounds the trigger on my SR9c smoothed out real nice. The only thing I didn't like about the pistol was the stupid loaded chamber indicator. Which was quickly fixed with a dremel. A great shooting gun.

First time out with the SR40c

Did you test your other magazines, might have a bad one or two? If the lips are a little too far apart or barely in spec with a rough chamber/feed ramp. (as already suggested) might cause that type of jam IMHO. Try asking for a new extractor. Ruger has sent small parts out to me for free...

As Juror-How much would you give the Ohio CCW stopee?

I don't know how much I'd give the victim, but the criminal should be given maximum sentence.

Heller and McDonald effect on suppressors

Hi, I've searched and found info on the Hughes act, and full auto, but not much on what Heller might do for suppressors. First off the tax, is a tax to practice an individual fundamental right legal anymore since Heller? Kind of like a poll tax. Then the whole registration thing, should it be...

    Cheap Semi Auto ?

Bought a used p95 last year for my son. Shoots nice, more accurate than me and eats everything from my lead reloads to factory hollowpoints. Maybe some parts have to be gotten from Ruger, but you know years from now they'll still be available. Another son owns a Stoeger cougar, nice gun also. A...

DC Permit Process Will Make Your Blood Boil

This is a slap in the face to the SCOTUS, methinks federal injunctions and contempt charges are deserving. Who does the D.C. council think they are.

    Hi-Point Carbine

As others have mentioned it is fugly. My kid bought one, and it's been utterly reliable. Good fun plinking gun that we can shoot at most indoor pistol ranges also. I wouldn't hesitate to use it to ventilate goblins if necessary.

    pro 1000 verdict

I bought a lee pro 1000 last month. I had previously found the videos bds mentioned and watched them, and took apart the press so I could understand how it works. Although I have no experience with progressive presses and have been loading on a single stage for only about a year, I was readily...

Suing a criminal after the crime?

In crook county Il. you can sue in "small claims court" yourself for a minimal filing and service cost . You can only collect for tangible losses. Theft of an item, broken door, doctors care etc. not time lost or pain etc... An hour or so to file and a half day off work, might be worth it. If...

    Sellier & Bellot Ammo.

I've shot a bit in 380 and 9mm, never had a problem. Remington green and white box, however, last week in 9mm my son had a squib. Good thing he knew something wasn't right and stopped.

You know you are addicted to guns when?

When my wife asked how many guns do you have? and I really had to think about it. When my non shooting friends (not anti, just not into it) ask how many, and I lie because they just wouldn''t get it.

    Stoeger Shotguns

I own a basic blued stoeger sxs, was a little stiff at first but after a couple of hundred rounds, it's smoothed up quite a bit. There's a bit of info on the net on polishing etc... but I haven't found a need for it yet. No failures to fire. A bit more recoil then my other shotgun, a winchester...

eBay CEO in power when eBay banned guns and gun components for Republican Governor!

How about lawsuits over obviously fake counterfeited and grey market items(not to be sold in the U.S. )such as electronics or fragrances etc.. Ebay is a huge supplier of this fake garbage.

    Judge Uphold's DC's post-Supreme Court Gun Laws

"'Lawyers for the District say the council worked to strike a balance between Second Amendment rights and public safety concerns" so basically the D.C. council is saying they understand 2a rights and are willing to defy scotus anyway. sigh
