    Anybody Have XM8 Update?

I would have to agree with MrMurphy on that one. It certainly doesn't show much confidence on the part of HK to be hedging their bets against the XM8's adoption.

    Cold Steel, Benchmade or Spyderco??

I've owned all three brands, and I'll stick with the Benchmade. When it comes to knives, it's all about the materials. Benchmade uses ATS-34 / 154CM steel for their blades. You won't find anything better, especially in that price range.

If you get arrested before the AWB expires, do you get out Sept 14?

HKmp5sd, I like my crow blackened cajun style, with some wild rice and a nice red wine.:o I checked with our "legal eagle" moderator over on AR-15.com. Apparently, and I quote, "there is clear case law" in reference to possession of pre-ban parts and post-ban guns constituting constructive...

If you get arrested before the AWB expires, do you get out Sept 14?

HKmp5sd, if your going to quote ATF "opinion", you might try reading all of it. Posession, in and of itself, does not constitute violation of the law. And if the NFA/AWB cross-over your talking about concerns post-ban SBR's, I am indeed familiar.

    HELP!!!! Quick decision!!!!!

20-10 = "10" It's six of one, half a dozen of another. :D Domestic manufacture tends to concentrate on the "ten or more" U.S. made parts.

    A quick Ruger MKII question....

My MKII is designed for the CCI Mini-Mags. :D SWR integrally suppressed MKII, Volquartsen action, and CT laser grips.

    HELP!!!! Quick decision!!!!!

That's the correct answer.:D As for gearing up an AK, the bulgarian waffle mags are very nice. You can also pick up an Ultimak forward scope mount for about $100, or the Power Custom / Red Star Arms trigger.

If you get arrested before the AWB expires, do you get out Sept 14?

Why would this be any different, because you're comparing apples to oranges. The parts necessary to convert an AR-15 to an M-16 (LL/RDIAS) are registered NFA items, and have absolutely nothing to do with the AWB. Other than that, I think you are misinterpreting "constructive posession". There...

    blackhawk vs. wilderness

Another vote for the Wilderness belt.:D I'm using the plastic reinforced shooters belt. It's very stable, even with a lot of gear.

Should I train my son to be a world class shooter?

I have two sons, ages six and four. I hope that they grow to enjoy the shooting sports as much as I do. I believe it is my responsibility as a parent to provide the exposure and the opportunity. Let them choose their own interests, and then give them encouragement. As children are very...

    Tactical Flashlight w/ Handgun?

.....and with a flashlight in one hand and a pistol in the other hand, you would be opening those doors with what? Of course, you could render one of those items totally useless and use your free hand to open the door. It would be a master test of the two handed techniques to employ them while...

    Scope for 10/22

Hey guys it's VOLQUARTSEN , as in http://www.volquartsen.com/ , and they do make great parts. The type of scope depends on how you will be using the rifle. This one has a 2-7x32 Micro-Dot scope to go along with a Volquartsen action, Hogue stock, and AWC Ultra II integrally suppressed...

    Anyone been hit with ricochet?

I was shooting at an indoor range 10-15 years ago. I stopped to reload my revolver, and when I came to my senses, I was sitting against the wall in back of the firing line. I felt something warm on my face, and while wiping it away found that I was bleeding from a wound to my forehead. I...

    another AWB sunset question?

You've got to realize that the main body of "assault weapons", the AR-15 series, are modular. The companies that manufacture these weapons, kept producing pre-ban versions of their upper receivers during the AWB as replacement parts for exsisting pre-ban rifles. They won't be reverting to...

    The problem with mouseguns?

Given this scenario, I wouldn't take that shot with ANY pistol. To prevent the perp from killing one of your family members even after you shoot him, you must place the bullet in the cranio-ocular cavity. You're shooting at a "peach pit" not a grapefruit, and unlike fixed position targets...

Choice of magazine holders for training with AR-15?

This is what I use: http://www.blackhawkindustries.com/product_detail.asp?product_id=2111&d= I attach it to my Wilderness shooters belt. It's very secure and VERY fast.

    The problem with mouseguns?

I won't even get into the legalityof taking such a shot. But under fire, when the human bodies "fight or flight" reflexes kick in and the adrenaline flows, I would certainly question your ability to make a "grapefruit-sized" shot.
