Hey guys, I just picked up an AMT hardballer, and before you all tell me what a piece of crap it is, I like it and it shoots well for me. The problem I'm having is the Millett rear sight on it won't hold the windage adjustment. I took it apart and the detent holding the screw in just seems...
I've loaded a couple hundred Berry's FP rounds and they all shot flawlessly out of my XD45. They're basically the same bullet as Raniers. I think the problems arise with the WC. In my experience though, my XD has eaten anything I could find to throw at it.
yeah, you just need to find the barrel somewhere. I've seen a couple manufacturers out there, but like Fred said, you don't need to get different mags. the .357 sig is just a necked-down .40. they share the same basic cartridge size so just the barrel is all you need to get. I've been...
Thanks for all the helpful tips guys. I finally figured out the load my gun likes. I ended up shortening the OAL to 1.101 and worked up from the min to max data and found that with the Berry's 115gr RN over 4.9gr of Win 231 the pistol cycles reliably and gives me good accuracy (as good as it...
Oops. You're all right on my OAL. What I meant to say was I was going to shorten to 1.050 and re-work the load-up. And yes, rfwobbly, the gun is brand new and the only rounds that have been through it were the 200 at the range the day I picked it up. I also gave it a good cleaning when I got...
Thanks for the comebacks, guys. i was thinking about shortening my OAL to about 1.150 and re-trying to work up the loads, so that info helps. it was just a little frustrating because i ran 200 factory rounds thru the pistol when i bought it and the pistol shot great. now that i'm trying my...
OK. i just started reloading for 9mm. I've got a tanfoglio witness match in 9mm and i did the workup load using Win 231 from 4.0gr to 4.9gr in .10gr incraments and i still can't seem to cycle the slide. Even at 4.9gr i got one cycle, but mostly stovepipes. :banghead:my books say that 4.9 is...
I just picked up my witness match in 9mm on the 22nd and went straight to the range. i bought it on kind of a whim with not much research. Shot just a little low, but once i fixed the sights it was a tack driver. Looooove it. So did my friends that went to the range with me. One of them...
I'm actually new to reloading, and I started with the .40. I've already run a few hundred of my reloads thru my XD-40, with mixed headstamp range brass and with mid range loads using TiteGroup, Bullseye and HS-6. I've even worked up to a hotter load with the HS-6, and no noticeable case...
