    Marlin 60W-22LR

60W was a WalMart exclusive. I bought mine in '94 for $69.99 on sale. It saw a lot of use because it's such a great shooter. I gave it a big work-over a couple of years ago-trigger work, pillar bedded, and refinished stock. It'll out shoot all of my other .22's except the varmint barrel Savage...

    Ruger Mini-30: Comments and Alternatives?

My 189 series... Trigger job, adjusted gas block, glass bedded stock, Wilson Combat 1911 buffers. Shoots 2" groups @100yds with WWB 123 fmj's, better with hand loads before the barrel gets warm-then she starts to string some. Took a bunch of Blacktails with it in S.E. AK while I was there...

    .22 mag

Here's mine-Savage 93WMR BTVS in a Boyd's Evo stock... Shoot's 3/4"(sometimes better)@100 yards with good ammo, Dynapoints hit around 1.5" groups-pretty good for that ammo. This one's not for sale either.

    The Marlin 39 Club

IBD, I have the Wisner's in my '08 Golden. Much better than the stock piece, which I broke trying to adjust it. You have to file down a couple of nubs, then tap it into place. They work perfectly.

Has anyone else had problems with SWFA scope rings?

I won't buy anything but Burris steel Zee's, or Weaver steel Grand Slam rings anymore. Superior products in the mid price range.

quick price check: marlin 1894 .44mag

I'd jump on it. Doesn't sound like anything that can't be fixed.

    marlin model 60/795 club

My '92 60W-Trigger work, pillar bedded action, free floated barrel, refinished stock, .45 brass for a charging handle. Better scope since this pic... It's a tack driver with CCI SV and Fed Automatch. Never had a single problem with it in almost 20 years of plinking.

    marlin 783 .22 magnum

That's a good price. Most of those rifles are good shooters. And it's an old Marlin-get them while you can....

    22WMR Choices?

Here's my 93BTVS WMR in a Boyds Evo stock, DIP rail, Burris rings, Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14X40 scope. Mine shoots well with all the ammo I've tried, 1" groups @ 100 yards, a little better with premium loads... Best of luck with your choice.

    Centerpoint & Simmons Copes

I have the 4-16X40 on my Marlin XT22, no complaints at all. Been a good scope so far, if it dies Walmart will give me a new one... I think you'll be happy with yours.

.22LR rifles: Comparing the Ruger 10/22 to the Marlin 795

Marlin=Utility rifle, accurate and reliable from the box in most cases. Great for somebody that just wants a shooter. Ruger=tweaker's delight, good out of the box. Spend the money and turn it into anything you can imagine. Really no point in an argument here, two entirely different rifles.

What is your preferred "ranch" rifle?

I have a good shooting Mini 30,and a Marlin 1894SS .44. General walking around the 39A is my preference... All depends on the season and my mindset, all three are great field rifles.

    Lever action 22

Love the Marlin 39A's, but be very cautious buying anything after 2008-2009. If you look at a new one, check it over carefully for fit and finish, lever cycling, and try running some snap caps through it if possible. There are plenty of cases of defective rifles out there. I, for one can't...

    My new Marlin Model 60ss

My 60 likes to be clean. Break it down and clean it up with Hoppe's. Put a drop of oil on all the pins, a drop on the recoil spring, and a drop or two rubbed onto the bolt-that's all it needs. Use clean ammo like CCI or Fed AutoMatch. Steer clear of Rem, it's filthy. Glad you like your new...

Do all 1894's have micro groove rifling

If it's microgroove, it'll say so on the barrel.

    The Marlin 39 Club

I have the standard on my '47, wonderful sight. It will get you way out there-I've hit 9" plates at 150 with mine. More than enough for a 39A...

    .22 w/scope @$200

After all that, I have a '94 Marlin 60 that has been well maintained and never failed-one of my favorite rifles. With that said, I'd suggest one of the new Marlin XT22 bolt actions with the wood stock. I bought the first one I saw. It's a great little rifle, accurate and smooth. The rear iron...

    Good Accuracy?

You're doing well. I'd suspect the bipod might be hurting your 100 yard shooting. Get a good bag and watch your groups tighten up.
