Deer rifle for 12 year old

Rifle I had a .260 Rem a while back. My friends daughter was starting out so loaded a 100 Partition . I didn't use a max load. There was little recoil and according to the manual,it was over 3000 fps. I thought it kicked less than a 243 I also had. She shot several deer that year so...

    223 shoulder bump

Bump I use a Dillon or Wilson case gauge to set up my resizing dies for calibers in which I own or load for several guns. I figure I am not oversizing and also should be good for any new gun I buy

    Rifle case lubes

Lube I use the Dillon when doing a lot of rifle cases. The one shot gets a dusting when using my 650 and handgun. The Hornady Unique is a pleasure to use with rifle. If I am just doing a box or so. It is cheap and the tub lasts forever. It is not hard to get off the brass or nasty to your...

    Powderpuff 44 Mag Load Anyone?

Lite 44 Try Titegroup with a 180 or 200 gr cast bullet. It is like shooting 38 wadcutters in a 357. Leaves a burn mark on the mouth of the case, though. Data is from Hodgdon web site

A lot of Glock 42's are selling

Glock 42 I bought one of the first 42's that came into our store about 6 weeks ago. I am an experienced shooter and law enforcement trainer. I had quite a few malfunctions on my first outings. I had fired probably 120 rounds of hard to find ammo. This was with various ammo. I got ahold of...

Tikka T3 rust!!! And other questions

't hur Get some Amsoil "MP" spray. A little on the surfaces of the gun will keep rust from being a problem also doesn't freeze up. Won't hurt wood finishes. Have used it for like 30 years. Not expensive either. Won

    16" Winchester 94 in 44mag!

I have a 16 inch 44. I assume like the one you are talking about. It shoots great. My hunting partners and their kids love shooting it. Very handy walking around in the woods. They all want it if I ever let it go. I would grab it if it is in new condition.

    Reloading for Sig220

I had one of the very first 220's in 45. It was an unreliable feeder with any hollowpoint . It would feed Hornady swc's but the gun was a total lemon. Took several trips to SIG and never was right. I wanted to use it for a duty gun but had no confidence. Traded it off. Every newer gun I've...

What to do with Dillion ball handle

Don't care for the roller on a 550 but love it on a 650. Keep a baseball bat in the car but don't for get the ball and glove. That way you are always ready to play!

    Thinking of a new addition.

Your scope should be just fine. If that frees up money buy yourself a Tikka or if not try a Howa or Remington. 223 0r 22-250.

    Lightest 6.5mm load for recoil

used a load out of nosler #6. I believe it was with Varget and 41.0 grains. I remember it not recoiling anymore than a 243 we were shooting at the time. Looking at the book some powders showed velocities of 3300. I normally shoot 125 grain partitions or 129 Hornadys. Both are great bullets...

    Rifle for my little girl

Nothing the 243 will do much better than the 250 savage. I would let her try them out. Buy a gun after she sees what she likes.
