SIG 2022 eating it's guide rod

I've done the same thing. The spring is backwards! The spring has a tighter coil on one end so it does not move. This is sliding along the plastic rod and chewing it up. Switch it and you will be fine. Although I have nothing again metal rods. Get one of these longer term if you want.

Big Box or local gun store?

One thing that I notice with LGS is that they could be run better. I don't mean that they are not good people, or that they are unethical. Most of them got into the business in a round about way or through a love of guns and shooting. What I mean is that they could learn more about running a...

Any Ohio shooters here shooting at Black Wing?

I'm a member at Blackwing mainly because of there indoor range which is one of the best. They have both a 50' postol range and a 75' rifle range. The staff is first rate and always seems willing to help a customer or members. I did three courses there including my FFL and I was satisfied. They...

Airline travel with an extra slide

I'm already squeezing in 2 pistols in a standard SIG case with some foam that I carved up. I'm waiting on a Pelican computer case to do it up right but that will be awhile. Let me see if I can bubble wrap it so it doesn't mess up the other pistols. Going to be a real mess.

Airline travel with an extra slide

Traveling by Delta tomorrow and have a question. I have my two pistols in a hardside case ready to go in checked luggage. Just decided that I would like to bring my Sig conversion rail to also shoot 22LRs. It doesn't fit into the locked hardsided luggage. Can I bring it loose in the luggage...

Washington Post publishes A PRO GUN ARTICLE!

Very good article but actually didn't like the opening sentence. As civilians, which is what he is talking about, we use guns for self-defense. We stop treats and don't necessary have to kill them. They may, and in many cases, will happen but it is important to the perception of CCL by the...

    gun you regret buying...

Sig X-5 All Around. Wanted to get into the X-5 family. Couldn't get used to the balance. Found it to be too heavy outfront with the longer barrel and the stainless steel compared to the other P226's that I was used too. Shot very well as a range gun but it was tiring to use. Have to sell it...

Ok to leave guns in the car?

Head transfer calculations. Said that you will be hunting for 2 hours. Steel is so conductive that the limiting factor is surface convection (how windy it is, or how much natural convection occurs.) Assuming 1D cooling of a hollow cylinder, average barrel dimensions, alloy steel, indoor...

    Accuracy

Statistical Definitions Ok. I can't help it. I have to put in my 2 cents. I teach at Ohio State and I teach the engineering statistics class. (I'm also the only prof. that shoots but that's another story). I use the following slide to show the difference between precision and accuracy. Most...
