    Glock 30SF and 36

I have a G36 and have shoot both ball and hollow points, lead and plated and have had ZERO problems. It is accurate and, IMHO, reliable. I carry the G36 often and am comfortable with it. I use an OWB Galco Combat Master holster. (I tried a BARSONY OWB and it was crap, plus the company...

How do you carry your striker fired pistol?

Just parroting to some degree. Buy a quality holster that fits the pistol properly (NO BARSONY Leather crap) and fits you properly and comfortably. I use both leather pancake OWB, and leather IWB. Leather is just my preference. I carry "topped off" with my pistols and revolvers because it is...

Is your local gun store always crowded?

In a word, yes. We have a local gun store that competes with two major chains. The parking lot in one of the chains is ALWAYS very sparsely filled. Our local shop, on the other hand, is doing a "land office" business.

    Reloading my CZ

I use both methods. When I am loading a magazine for the first time in a C.O.F. I generally use the overhand method. It is easy and convenient to the task, and speed is not of the essence. However, when reloading from slide lock I try to use the slide release. It is, arguably, faster and...

    Best home defense shotgun

I have a Mossberg 500 Tactical and will do the trick for home defense. However, choose your shot shells carefully and beware of over penetration with slugs and/or "00" buckshot.

queston for the police about civilian carry

Most of the responses seem positive; just be thankful you do not live in the "People's Republic" of Illinois or Maryland or New York.

Rare or Hard to find Ammo

I use some 7.7x58 mm Jap ammo. Found it reasonably priced at Graf and Sons. They are also excellent with the customer service.

Does your gun club allow booze?

Yes, ours does and it is strict on the where and when it may be used.

Saw my first open carry yesterday

I.M.O. O.C. is a double edged sword; it does, in fact, raise the public consciousness to the legality of carrying a gun openly. On the other hand, I believe it makes the carrier a "shoot me first" consideration for the nefarious bad guys.

    Best 1911 range/carry holster?

I like both Galco OWB pancake leather and Comp Tac holsters. They also have excellent customer service. I DO NOT recommend Barsony Holsters, they have failed to honor their return policy, refused to answer emails or phone messages and, in my opinion, the holsters are sub standard. Good luck....

    Barsony Holsters, Buyers Beware!

I purchased a Barsony holster for a Glock 36. When I received it I felt it was not of the quality I expected, and it did not hold the Glock 36 well. In accordance with their stated policy, I returned the holster, with receipts and ask for a credit. It has been almost a month, I have sent...

S&W M&P9c Apex Tactical hard sear and striker block review.

I have an M&P Pro 9mm, an M&P 9mm C, and just bought the M&P 45 F.S. The 45 trigger was noisy, around 6# (+ maybe) and generally sloppy. It was not satisfactory. I called Apex last week, left a voice mail with questions, and their response was within two hours. Randall Lee told me about the...

    Smith & Wesson M&P .45

I called Apex last week, left a voice mail with questions, and their response was within two hours. Randall Lee told me about the videos for the sear and striker bar replacement, and was very encouraging about how easy it would be to do. I did the Apex Tactical trigger job on my M&P 45 today...

    Smith & Wesson M&P .45

I just bought an M&P 45 FS and want to do the Apex trigger mod. I am less than mechanically inclined so I wonder if the instructions/action required are sufficient for me to do it? Also, what are the actual parts involved? Thanks "Carrying a gun is not supposed to be comfortable, it's...

Your experience with the Smith and Wesson M&P series

M&P 9MM Compact I have a Compact M&P 9mm and the M&P Pro in 9mm. The compact has been flawless and I have been shooting it for over 2 years. The M&P Pro, however, has had extractor problems leading to double feed malfunctions. I sent it to Smith and Wesson and they have had it for two...

Your experience with the Smith and Wesson M&P series

I have both a M&P Pro in 9mm and the M&P 9mm Compact. I have put many rounds through both pistols and have had very few problems. I have had 2 or 3 FTE recently but after a thorough cleaning I ran 65 of the same reloads with no problems. I shoot both USPSA and IDPa. Two of the members I...
