He said he doeesn't want optics AT THIS TIME. I had the same problem and just used regular nuts in place of the knobs. The carry handle is not removable without tools,but no need to take it off regularly anyway. The nuts I used were the adjuster nuts off a cheap quick release scope mount.

Thanks for the input,I wasn't sure about the delta ring ID straight vs tapered. Didn't want to spend money on the hanguards and not have them fit without changing more parts. I hate supprises and waiting on the mailman.

Is switching from A2 to early triangular a straight R/R or will more parts have to be changed than just the handguards? Thanks in advance.
