Thanks again
I have a Lee FCD, but these cases were crushed before that step. Not just the annealed cases crushed the shoulder, but they seamed to all crush. Great idea putting them in the bullet seater before charging the case.
Thanks
The cases were not "crushed" by resizing. Deformation is uniform around the shoulder, and it isnt dents in the shoulder. All cases were resized, trimmed, chamfered and deburred. They were not crimped. The bullet seating is very "soft", and I dont' know how I could have crushed...
First, thank you to all that try to help us newbies. I am fairly new to metallic reloading, have had some great success with .223. Some of the reloads have a minute indication of a crushed shoulder. Just doesnt look like it is at the right angle. Fits in Hornady Go gauge. Hornady manual...
I am kinda a newbie, I searched the forum for the answer and didnt see anything. I am sizing and cleaning a bunch of 9mm brass. I end up with lots of 9mm LUGER, but have lots of other stuff.

= lots of smiles. I am a learning reloader(and self described brass hoarder). Went to range to test some new handloads and just shoot on a beautiful day. I brought 7 guns with me, but before I even unloaded anything I was amazed at the site in front of me. The entire range...
Thank you
If you help new reloaders like me and the op, please reach your right arm across your chest and reach over your left shoulder and pat..... I wish I could personally thank all of the "old timers" that post on this site.
A little story; I am a new rifle reloader this year. Started...
Seconded, thirded or whatever we are at,
New to reloading, checked in here when I broke decapping dies about every tenth case. I had picked up a bunch of Berden primed .223 brass. Called Lee to get the whole internal peice and a new package of the tips. The guy wanted my address and I said...
Ty for your answer, upon further thought, you are EXACTLY right. This gun has treated me so well for so long with the abuse I have exacted, it is time for some TLC(price be damned).
Not sure if posting here or sending my little pretty to Arnold will fix my problem. I have a Browning Citori Lightning 3" 12 ga. I have had the gun at least 25 yrs. I have also shot it an insane amount. Trap, skeet, SC, and lots and lots of quackers all over. I have used it to break...
You guys are freaking geniuses!! That is why this is my home page now. I shined a hand held spotlight down the neck and, YEP two holes! I knew about Berden primers. Der! You guys answered my questions exactly like I needed(and suspected you would). It is amazing the combined knowledge on...
I hope I dont upset any peeves(smile), and I have read all the post its. I also read and re-read my loading manuals. I talked with several serious reloaders.
I am very new to rifle relaoding. I lurked on the forum for a while. I have loaded over 800,000 shotgun shells. OK?
I have a...
