    8 rounds of 45 or 15 rounds of 9mm

If you're talking about JHP's, I honestly think the 9mm round would be more than sufficient. I think 8 rounds in a typical gunfight would be plenty, but I'd opt for 15 round of JHP in 9mm.

Got my new Rock island 1911 Yesterday

You'll enjoy it, it's a hell of a gun for the money.

    To much for the rock?

:what: That's insane. I got a brand new GI RIA online for $380

    Help Selecting a 1911

+1 on the RIA tactical. Has everything you've asked for minus night sites. But you'll have so much money left over, you can buy some nice night sites, have them installed, and still have a ton of money left over. Very nice guns for the money.

Does Chip Maccormick magazines work with RIA's?

Not sure about the 38, but I have a GI 45 RIA, and the McCormick's wouldn't feed anything, not even FMJ. Wilson Combat mags feed both FMJs and HPs though.

    Personal experiences with CZ/Sig malfunctions?

Looking into getting either a CZ 75 or a Sig P226 (preferably a W. German made). Upon doing some research, I found out about the CZ's slide stops breaking and the Sig's frame cracking. Anybody have problems with these? Should I even be concerned with this stuff? There's a W. German P226...

    CCW Revolver

Thanks for the suggestions fellas. I'll take a look at a couple of those Smiths in addition to the Rugers.

    CCW Revolver

I'm selling my PF-9 because I want a snub nose for concealed carry. I just like the thought of wheel-gun reliability. I'm just looking for a good direction to be pointed in. I personally think that a 38+p round is sufficient, and I know how painful a 357 load can be out of such a small...

    Striker Fire .45 ACP: Glock 30, S&W M&P .45 or XDM .45?

You should at least hold all 3 of them if you can't test fire them. The XD has a significantly smaller/more comfortable grip than the other 2, and holds just as many rounds.

    New PF9

Yeah, there are those who think that Kel-Tecs are not reliable and kind of a lower class pistol. I've had no problems with mine, recoil wasn't as bad as everyone said, and accuracy is decent enough. The thing is just so easy to carry.

"We're not going to roll over," Chicago Mayor Richard Daley said.

As if the guns are to blame. Sounds to me like these were just unstable people. If it wouldn't have been a gun, it would have been a knife, should we ban silverware?? You can't get rid people like this, what you can do is arm the innocent in an attempt to give them a chance.

    Low-ride holsters

If I were to go with the Bianchi, would I be better off just getting an Uncle Mike's hip holster.

    Low-ride holsters

I need a holster for a Government 1911 and a Sig P220R. These won't be used for concealed carry, mostly just for range or in the woods. I don't competitively shoot or anything, so I don't need one that costs a fortune, but all of the Fobus and Blackhawk holsters look to be high-riding, and...

When is deadly force justified during a home invasion?

Yeah, because perps often think that YOUR life is more important than your inanimate objects.

    Cheapest 9 mil please

A used Glock will be tough to find for $300 even, but the Ruger P95 is a great choice from what I hear and can be had for that amount.
