Well I'm at the buying point right now. Wondering if anyone has any reasoning as to choose another brand other than RCBS. I'm going to make a price list and try to find all of the best prices between the online retailers (cabela's has a pretty good sale on them right now)
My plans for this rifle exactly. I wont mind if it gets a little dirty. I plan on refinishing the stock and thats about it. Thanks for the advice guys !!
Can't beat it for a 75 dollar rifle
Yea I forgot about the bullet puller and the caliper (I've got a bunch actually from automotive work)
I'm looking at getting the RCBS bench mounted primer, but I will probably start off using the hand primer to see if there's any reason as to why I shouldn't use that.
I'm going to be loading...
AR's can be had in plenty of quantities in NYS. I've been with friends on about 5 occasions when they've purchased them from gun shops. If it's a collapsible stock it needs to be pinned. Obviously they will be semi auto

I was in the same dilemna with trying to pick out a spotting scope but then had the revelation that I could easily use the Digital SLR equipment I already have !!! duh !!!
It's not that extreme, I actually took the risk, wore protection and fired it and it performs flawlessly. I'll have to try and take some decent pictures of the pitting and post them up tonight. The lugs are all intact. I've also contemplated trying to coat it or repair the metal in some way...
I'm getting into reloading and the 7mm08 ballistics wise is an amazing bullet for hunting North American game. While I wouldn't consider them a "specialty caliber" you can't however walk into your local Wal-Mart or Dicks and buy a couple cases, but any serious firearms dealer would have this...
I've got a Remington 788 that I rescued from it's previous owner. There was corrosion and rust EVERYWHERE. I've gotten the rust out and oiled the hell out of everything (took me 3 hours of soaking and working the trigger free) but theres some areas on the bolt where the material is missing, like...
