MI - Castle Doctrine on Governor's Desk

I think she'll sign it. It's veto proof and she'll take a huge hit if she refuses. Even Virgil Smith was behind this and typically he's very anti-gun. I certainly hope so.. If not, she better quit while she's only a little behind; cause her days are numbered.. Don

Our National Anthem, By Isaac Asimov

All Four Stanzas By Isaac Asimov Introductory Note. Unless you're already well acquainted with our "national anthem," this interesting piece by the late Isaac Asimov will be an eye-opener. It was for me. It's especially appropriate at a time when there is much talk of tossing out...

    This War Is For Real

Please take the time to read the attached essay by Dr. Chong. It is without a doubt the most articulate and convincing writing I have read regarding the War in Iraq. If you have any doubts please open your mind to his essay and give a fair evaluation. I had no idea who Dr. Chong is or...

    Digital Powder Scales?

I fooled around with several different digital scales over the years and had complaints with all of them, ranging from being very slow to being inconsistent. I would try the same weight on the scales several times and got differrent readings each time. I weigh all of my 22 Rimfire ammo for...

Common items that make great gunsmithing tools

There are several things I've incorporated into my too bag of tricks over the years as a knifemaker.. 1. Hockey pucks. I cut them in half and shape them to different surfaces, rounded, angled and leave some flat. I use them for doing the falt surfaces on knives, and when sanding stocks. 2. X-C...

is 0000 finer than 320 grit?

0000 steel wool is finer than 320 paper by an order of magnitude. 320 paper leaves a rough finish compared to the 0000 wool. Don

    Bring It On John

Bring it on, John By: Oliver North August 27, 2004 "Of course, the president keeps telling people he would never question my service to our country. Instead, he watches as a Republican-funded attack group does just that. Well, if he wants to have a debate about our service in...

    Remington 22

Rem 504 I'm a 22RF nut, and follow all of the Forums where 22's are discussed. The consensus is that it is not accurate. And, the price is way too much for what you get. Remington is coming out early next year with a re-do on the 504 to address the target shooter market. It will have a heavy...

    Ring lapping?

Lapping Get the rings as perfectly aligned as posiible, then glass bed the scope into the rings. Make sure you double coat the scope with release agent so it doesn't "stick". It doesn't get any better than that; a perfect fit with no scope stresses. Don
